System and methods are disclosed to facilitate intra-operative procedures and planning. A method can include storing tracking data in memory, the tracking data being generated by a tracking system to represent a location of an object in a tracking coordinate system of the tracking system. The method can also include storing a patient-specific implicit model in memory, the patient-specific implicit model being generated based on image data acquired for the patient to define geometry of an anatomical structure of the patient. The method can also include registering the tracking data and the patient-specific implicit model in a common three-dimensional coordinate system. The method can also include generating an output visualization representing a location of the object relative to the geometry of the anatomical structure of the patient in the common coordinate system.

Method and system to facilitate intraoperative positioning and guidance

An endoluminal prosthesis comprises a prosthetic trunk having a trunk lumen and a trunk wall, a first prosthetic branch having a first branch lumen and a branch wall, and a second prosthetic branch having a second branch lumen. The first branch lumen and the second branch lumen are both in fluid communication with the trunk lumen through the trunk wall and the second branch lumen is in fluid communication with the first branch lumen through the branch wall. Additional devices, systems, and methods are disclosed.

A multi-lumen surgical utility connector is configured to receive two or more utilities from a surgical utility supplying device. The multi-lumen surgical utility connector may be connected to a utility port of the surgical utility supplying device which supplies two or more utilities. The multi-lumen surgical utility connector may include a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tag which identifies the type or model of multi-lumen surgical utility connector. The surgical utility supplying device may determine the type and parameters of utilities to be supplied through the multi-lumen surgical utility connector based on information read from the RFID tag.

An injection device has a dispensing chamber housing, a plunger, and a temperature control device. The dispensing chamber housing has a first part and a second part. The first part is thermally coupled to a needle. The second part is thermally coupled to the first part. The second part has an inner surface and an outer surface. The inner surface partially defines a dispensing chamber for holding a quantity of a substance. The plunger is engaged with an inner surface of the dispensing chamber housing, is capable of sliding in the dispensing chamber housing, and is fluidly sealed to the inner surface of the dispensing chamber housing. The temperature control device at least partially surrounds the dispensing chamber housing and is capable of altering a temperature of the substance in the dispensing chamber. The second part has a greater thermal coefficient than the first part.

Dual thermal coefficient dispensing chamber

An ophthalmic injection system has a tip segment attachable to and removable from a limited reuse assembly. The tip segment has a dispensing chamber housing, a plunger, a needle, a temperature control device, a thermal sensor, and a first housing at least partially enclosing the dispensing chamber housing, the temperature control device and the plunger. The limited reuse assembly has an actuator with a shaft, a power source for providing power to the actuator, a controller for controlling the actuator, a mechanical linkage interface, and a second housing at least partially enclosing the power source, the controller, and the actuator. The mechanical linkage interface is coupled to the actuator shaft and has a mating surface on one end. The substance is injected after the temperature of the substance is altered.

Ophthalmic injection system

A disposable injection device has a dispensing chamber housing, a plunger, a needle, and a temperature control device. The dispensing chamber housing has an inner surface and an outer surface. The inner surface partially defines a dispensing chamber for receiving a quantity of a substance. The plunger is engaged with the inner surface of the dispensing chamber housing, is capable of sliding in the dispensing chamber housing, and is fluidly sealed to the inner surface of the dispensing chamber housing. The plunger has a plunger interface. The needle is fluidly coupled to the dispensing chamber. The temperature control device at least partially surrounds the dispensing chamber housing and alters a temperature of the substance in the dispensing chamber. The substance is injected after the temperature of the substance is altered.

Disposable ophthalmic injection device

A method of delivering a substance into an eye includes recognizing a connection between a tip segment and a limited reuse assembly; receiving dosage information from the tip segment; activating a temperature control device to alter a temperature of a substance to be delivered into an eye; receiving temperature information from a thermal sensor; using the temperature information to control the temperature control device; receiving an input indicating that the substance is to be delivered; and based on the dosage information, controlling an actuator to move a plunger to deliver the substance.

Ophthalmic injection method

The disclosed connector to cassette interface system includes a set of individual keyed connectors having a shroud on the lower portion. The perimeter of each shroud includes an array of tabs or protrusions keyed to one of a corresponding array of skirted portals in the cassette cover. The tabs or protrusions on the shroud portion of each individual keyed connector may further serve to prevent rotation of each connector beyond about 60&#xb0;.

The branch lumen is in fluid communication with the trunk lumen through the anastomosis. The prosthetic branch is disposed longitudinally along and circumferentially about the prosthetic trunk.

The branch lumen is in fluid communication with the trunk lumen through the anastomosis. The prosthetic branch is disposed longitudinally along and circumferentially about the prosthetic trunk.

A stereotactic guide apparatus 100 is provided for use with a CT scanner device 18 for guiding the entry of a probe into a patient's body. The CT scanner device is provided with a stereotactic arm member 30 having a first base end 42 connected to the CT scanner device 18 and a second free end 40 movable relative to the CT scanner device. The stereotactic surgical instrument guide apparatus includes a first end effector member 106 including a guide channel 152 defining a probe insertion path 150. The surgical instrument guidance device further includes a second end effector member 104 on the free end of the stereotactic arm member and including a laser light source 108 generating a light guide beam along the probe insertion path 150. Each of the first and second end effector members are selectively releasably attached to the free end of the stereotactic arm member and, further, are adapted to provide respective first and second device identification signals to the CT scanner device through the stereotactic arm member. The top end effector member 104 is preferably stationary in use during interventional procedures and the bottom end effector member 106 is selectively retractable into a hollow support tube 142. Alternatively, the first and second end effector members are selectively pivotally attached to the free end of the stereotactic arm member.
