A dispenser system for treating water containing systems in place with a dry chemical substance. The dispenser has a water soluble pouch housing a dry form of a chemical material to be used in treating the system. The pouch is positioned in a make down unit so that the chemical is dissolved to form a liquid concentrate which is then introduced into a water containing system. A controller is attached to the make down unit to regulate the flow of water into the apparatus and the flow of liquid concentrate out of the apparatus and into the water containing system.

Solid product system and method of using same

Golf swing training apparatus includes a first guide surface and a second, steeper golf club guide surface. The first guide surface is angularly adjustable to set the appropriate initial plane of the back swing for a particular golfer and the second guide surface is further angularly adjustable relative to the first guide surface to set the appropriate second plane of the back swing for the golfer using a particular golf club. To facilitate change-over from right-handed to left-handed operation, the second guide surface is releasably connectable to either of two upper ends of the apparatus. The frame structure is constructed out of a material which is rigid at approximately room temperature. At least the first golf club guide surface is disposed on a guide member secured to the rigid frame structure and formed from a polymeric material which is sufficiently flexible at room temperature so as to be bendable into an arcuate or curved shape which follows the swing path of the golfer. In another aspect of the invention, the entire apparatus is easily broken down or folded into a condition suitable for easy storage and transport.

Golf swing plane guide and training apparatus

An apparatus for dispensing solid or semi-solid detergents includes a hollow elongated opening or chute and an arcuate plate that extends from the side wall of the apparatus to beneath the chute. This plate provides a planar support for a detergent bar placed within the chute. Water is sprayed down the arcuate plate and projects against the detergent supported on the planar support causing it to dissolve and flow down a drain. The chute has a unique geometric design which is suitable to receive only one uniquely shaped elongated detergent bar. In a kitchen having several detergent dispensers, each detergent dispenser will have a uniquely defined chute so that only the appropriate detergent can be used in the appropriate dispenser.

In a preferred embodiment an improved faucet proportioner includes a plate for defining a first stream of water together with additional curtain streams of water adjacent the first stream. The first stream is directed into a venturi for pulling a second liquid, like detergent or sanitizer, while the curtain streams flow alongside outside of the venturi, but within the proportioner. The streams first contain any splash or splatter of the first stream at the venturi mouth, and secondly the streams enhance the venturi drawing action of the first stream upon joining the first stream as it flows out of the venturi discharge opening. The enhanced venturi action of the first stream effectively draws the second liquid into the first stream, yet the proportioner does not require any porous obstruction downstream of the venturi which might clog or retain detergent or sanitizer and release it when only pure water is desired. Apparatus for providing source capture of fumes produced at a work station including a molded aerodynamically designed fume capture hood positionable above the work station, a mounting mechanism for providing vertical movement of the hood such that the orientation of the hood opening remains constant, a fume collection system for removing material contained in air captured by the hood, and a flexible conduit connecting the collection system to the hood. The contours associated with the forward parts of the upper and side wall portions of the hood minimize entrance loss and turbulence to provide a coefficient of entry of at least about 0.93, while the contour associated with the forward part of the upper wall portion permits a higher velocity near the top of the hood for insuring suction of fumes, vapors or smoke near an operator's breathing zone. The mounting mechanism includes a vertical stanchion, a carriage slidably movable along the stanchion, pantograph-like mounting arms securing the hood to the carriage, and a constant force spring secured between the stanchion and the carriage, the spring acting to compensate for the weight of the hood and the conduit to maintain the hood at a desired vertical position.

Source capture fume reduction apparatus

An electrostatic precipitator air cleaner including a number of precipitator cells having spaced parallel plates for collecting dirt particles, and a vertically disposed traversing pipe-like spray header containing a number of spray nozzles for directing a spray of wash or rinse fluid onto the collecting plates in order to remove collected particles. The header is traversed horizontally across the precipitator cells by means of a trolley supported by a rail-like guide member and reciprocated between a home position and an extended position by means of a rotating elongated helical drive screw cooperating with a gear-like follower attached to the trolley, such that the rotation of the screw produces linear motion of the header. The header is connected to a source of wash or rinse fluid by means of swivel connections and a flexible conduit. An elongated flat resilient fluid impervious strip containing a longitudinal slit in sliding sealable engagement with the header is positioned between the traversing mechanism and the spray nozzles to prevent infiltration of the precipitator airstream or wash fluid into the area occupied by the traversing mechanism. The threaded follower may also be disengaged from the helical drive screw and the header moved manually to any position along its length of travel.
