An orthopedic ankle brace allowing rear entry through an open back, enclosed by a back panel with tendon buttresses that pinch the Achilles tendon between the buttresses. The brace includes a gauntlet having a front panel with a forefoot opening underneath, a bottom integrated to opposed side panels, an open top, and an open back. A lace closure system cinches the front panel and side panels together. The back panel has an elastic center section separating two wings that attach to the gauntlet. Two tendon buttresses separated by a gap are disposed inside the back panel, and when the back panel is attached to the gauntlet, the gap receives the Achilles tendon. A tendon strap, overlying the tendon buttresses, when tightened squeezes the tendon buttresses together against the Achilles tendon held therebetween.

An elbow-forearm-wrist-hand-finger orthosis having a telescoping and detachable palm/finger rest extending from a wrist-forearm gauntlet wherein the distance between the two is adjustable. The forearm and wrist gauntlet includes a clamshell configuration with an internal stiffener and a volar pocket. The palm/finger rest has a rigid bar extending therefrom that is slidably disposed within the volar pocket for wearer-adjustable extension out of and retraction into the pocket. Several retention straps are disposed about the palm/finger rest and the gauntlet. The gauntlet bottom and the palm/finger rest include curved sections to orient the wrist in a neutral position and the fingers in a relaxed position.

Extendable fracture orthosis

A finger and hand brace includes an elongated brace body applied lengthwise to the wrist and finger regions of the hand, with multiple straps extending from the brace body. The straps have sufficient length to wrap about at least two of the hand, wrist, a finger or fingers. Hook-and-loop fasteners on the brace body retain the straps in a wrapped condition. At least two elongated stiffeners are carried by the brace body inside pockets. A separation line, located at about the wrist, extends laterally across the brace body and enables the brace body to be separated into a distal/finger portion discrete from a proximal/wrist portion. The stiffeners and pockets are likewise separable into distal and proximal portions. The distal portion of the brace body includes a flap that holds the distal portion to the proximal portion of the brace body.
