An asset authoring and delivery system generates a number of authored assets. Each of the authored assets includes a number of asset content objects that are logically associated with one or more components included in the item of manufacture. The authored assets generated by the asset authoring and delivery system are formatted and communicated to one or more remote devices logically associated with the item of manufacture. Authored assets may be provided responsive to one or more sensed characteristics, for instance vehicle operational parameters, vehicle operation and/or driver behavior, and may be customized to a make and/or model of vehicle.

The present inventor devised, among other things, information retrieval systems, methods, software, and related interfaces that help users assess and if necessary bolster the quality of their manual selections from search results. One exemplary system receives a set of documents selected from search results for an input query, identifies key subjects in the selected documents, and outputs a graphic, such as a pie chart, that shows not only how well these selected documents relate to the query, but also whether there are gaps in the topical scope of the selected documents related to the input query.

The present inventor devised, among other things, an exemplary information retrieval system that promises to reduce the execution of overly broad queries. One exemplary system detects overly broad queries and presents users one or more potentially relevant portions of a hierarchical subject matter classification system, instead of executing the query against the targeted database. The system also presents users the option of accessing one or more relevant documents to the query via an interface for the classification system.

Systems, methods, and interfaces for reducing executions of overly broad user queries

The present invention is a process of creating durable Uniform Resource Locator links to results of performing web-enabled functions. The web-enabled functions are performed using a system delivered user interface requiring users to authenticate within the system. After authentication, the user will be able to perform a first user function that will create Uniform Resource Locator link results derived from the first user function. The user will then be able to conduct successive users functions, either dependent or independent of the first user function results without having to re-authenticate. The successive user function will then create durable Uniform Resource Locator link results derived from the successive user function without altering the previously created Uniform Resource Locator links to previous user function results.
