The operations, when executed, cause or result in (i) monitoring activities of one or more users of the designated set; (ii) developing profile information of the one or more users, where the profile information is based at least partially on information determined from monitoring activities of the one or more users; (iii) generating, from the profile information, a set of coded data that represent selection criteria; and (iv) communicating the set of coded data to a programmatic source external to the system, where the represented selection criteria enables programmatic selection of content resources from a content library for the system.

For maintaining cervical and spinal alignment during emergency immobilization, extrication, transportation, and radiological examination of a patient, a support used in combination with various fastening devices comprising a sheet with a curved cross-section made of radiotranslucent buoyant material which has a thin profile yet provides strong and rigid support. The sheet is contoured to support the patient's head, shoulders, and main body, preventing post-incident injury and discomfort. The margins of the support have a plurality of slots which serve both as handling means and as a means for attaching the fastening devices and are arcuately displaced for ease of access with minimal hazardous movement of the patient. Moreover, the head-supporting portion has a plurality of guide notches and a Velcro fastener for attaching fastening devices, with similarly arcuately displaced access. The support has a short form which is used for securing the upper torso under conditions which preclude the use of the long form. The long form of the support provides management of the full body during emergency extrication, transportation and radiological examination, for use in combination with the short form and for use as a litter.

A strip of resistantly-resilient material is of a length such that its end portions overlap when encircled around a wearer's neck as a cervical collar. An intermediate lengthwise portion of the strip, positionable beneath the chin, is of increased width. A combination of fastener-part pairs, on different interior and exterior surfaces of end portions of the strip, serve to releasably fasten the collar in place. First and second pairs of straps are secured to the strip in the vicinity of opposite ends of the enlarged intermediate portion and extend around the head of the wearer to a location where the straps are detachably secured.
