A method for using a cable assembly apparatus for coupling a connector to a cable having a base supporting an interface pedestal dimensioned to receive the connector; an inductor coil coupled to an inductor coil actuator operable to move the inductor coil between a load position and an operation position proximate the interface pedestal; a grip clamp operable by a clamp actuator to move between an open position and a closed position above the interface pedestal; and a temperature sensor configured to read a temperature proximate the interface pedestal. The method includes using the apparatus for retaining the pre-assembled connector and cable in an aligned orientation for controlled heating by the induction heater to heat a solder perform to solder the connector to an outer conductor of the cable.

Method for attaching a connector to a coaxial cable

Cable and connector assembly apparatus

A security system with a driver circuit for energizing a solenoid actuated locking device. The circuit can include a microprocessor, a battery power supply, a boosting circuit and an energy storage circuit. The battery voltage can be stepped up by the boosting circuit and the stepped up voltage can be stored in the energy storage circuit. A solenoid driver circuit including a plurality of transistors arranged in an H-bridge configuration supply energy from the storage circuit to the solenoid under control of the microprocessor. The security system can be retrofited or is factory installable, and is particularly adapted for roll down doors and enclosures.

The present invention provides a driver circuit for energizing a solenoid actuated locking device. The circuit is adapted to include a microprocessor, a battery power supply, a boosting circuit and an energy storage circuit. The battery voltage is stepped up by the boosting circuit and the stepped up voltage is stored in the energy storage circuit. A solenoid driver circuit including a plurality of transistors arranged in an H-bridge configuration supply energy from the storage circuit to the solenoid under control of the microprocessor.

Energy efficient control circuit for solenoid actuated locking device

An adjustable chest protector to prevent athletic injuries, particularly in baseball. The chest protector is C-shaped in a horizontal plane and designed to fit comfortably and unnoticeably underneath clothing of the user. It is also designed to allow free, unhindered movement by the athlete. The chest protector nevertheless is strong enough to prevent potentially fatal injuries. A portion of the protector is contoured convexly away from the user to assume the natural shape of the user's hemithorax.

A detachable handle system is described which is capable of temporarily placing handles on a container to aid in lifting and transporting the container. The invention is comprised of at least two handles, base members attached to opposed vertical surfaces of the container and mounting means fixed to the handles. In the preferred embodiment, the base members and mounting means are two cooperating sheets of a hook and loop fastener, commonly known by the trademark Velcro. In an alternate embodiment, the base member is a matrices of flexible resilient fibers blown onto a layer of viscous material on opposed surfaces of the container. One of the Velcro sheets includes a plurality of flexible hook elements and the cooperating sheet includes a plurality of flexible loop elements. The hook and loop elements interact to form a contact bond which is capable of withstanding a substantial shearing force exerted between the base member and the mounting means. The base members and the mounting means are brought together so that the handles, which are used to lift and carry the container, extend from opposed sides of the container. When the container reaches its destination the handles are detached by pulling them and their attached mounting means down and away from the container and the base member. This system provides an effective and efficient means for lifting and transporting containers.

This invention relates to an improved rain gage based on the old method of the hydraulic water wheel used for power, for centuries, except this is a small precision made water wheel that moves constantly during rainfall in a variation of movement of light to heavy rainfall. The shaft of the water wheel drives three dials of 0 to 1, 1 to 10, 10 to 100 inches, using a knocker system without resetting the dials.
