A resealable container and closure package includes a container and a closure cap. The container has a longitudinal center axis, and a finish. The finish includes an external thread, an annular lip, and a sealing surface. The external thread includes 1.5 turns of a complete thread having symmetrical flank angles of about 13 degrees. The lip extends radially inwardly from a neck at an angle from about 0 degrees to about 5 degrees from a plane orthogonal to the center axis. The sealing surface is on an exterior surface of the lip. The closure cap includes an end wall defining a circumferential edge, an annular skirt projecting from the end wall, and an internal thread defined on an inner surface of the annular skirt. The internal thread is threadingly engageable with the external thread. The internal thread has an 'M' style cross section for an SP 400 Finish.

Laser marking of plastic material is achieved by incorporating into the plastic a laser marking particulate additive having a particle size of less than 100 nm. A mixed oxide particle of tin and antimony having a particle size of 10&#x2013;70 nm is useful as a laser marking additive when using a YAG laser. A metallic powder can further be added to improve marking contrast.

An apparatus and a method for objectively ascertaining a color match between a selected standard color and the color exhibited by an interference effect pigment during processing thereof and terminating the process upon achieving a match. The invention provides a spectrophotometer attached to a flow cell to monitor the color of a platy effect pigment to monitor pigment color and ascertain completion of the coating reaction process involved in interference pigment production.

A calcined powder of co-precipitated mixed oxides of tin and antimony is used as a YAG laser marking additive. The additive is designed to impart little to no color to the plastic in which it is incorporated but to provide a high contrast dark marking after being exposed to a YAG laser.
