This disclosure addresses an exercise device adapted to enable the user to perform a salmon ladder exercise. The ladder includes a frame with at least one pair of support protrusions that receive an exercise bar. A bearing surface that receives the shaft of a catch array rotatably mounted in the frame. The device further includes a braking mechanism that applies a variable suppression force to the catch array shaft, the variable suppression adjusting the force required to rotate the catch array shaft in the bearing surface.

A portable refrigeration system for use in transport of medicines or other valuable, temperature sensitive materials is disclosed. The system can use GPS positioning technology to provide absolute global location along with internet connection through a cellular modem on board which allows for communication to the cloud of temperature and transit data during device use. Portable refrigerator and method of using

A biopsy device comprises a body, a needle, a cutter, and a tissue sample holder. The tissue sample holder comprises an outer cup and a cap. A tray retains severed tissue samples from a biopsy procedure. In some versions, the tray is selectively detachable from the cap in a one-handed operation by the user. The tray may be ejected into a sample container, such as a formalin cup. The cap may include a threaded portion that is configured to engage a complementary threaded portion of a sample container to seal the sample container once the tissue samples have been transferred to the sample container from the tissue sample holder of the biopsy device. One or more ports may be provided in the cap to manage excess fluid within the outer cup of the tissue sample holder, and/or to provide integrated access for a marker delivery device.

A surgical instrument has a first modular assembly and a second modular assembly. The first modular assembly has a body, an ultrasonic waveguide, an ultrasonic blade connected to a distal end of the ultrasonic waveguide, and a coupling member that movably couples with the body. The second modular assembly has a clamp arm assembly with a first pivot coupling, a clamp pad assembly with a second pivot coupling, and a distal outer sheath that selectively couples to the body of the first modular assembly via the coupling member. The distal outer sheath has an interior surface that houses a portion of the ultrasonic waveguide, and this interior surface also houses the first pivot coupling and the second pivot coupling.

This disclosure relates to portable storage boxes, also called job boxes, that may be adapted for use on construction sites. Existing boxes are typically too large and heavy to move by just one person without additional equipment. Existing storage boxes are difficult to maneuver in tight spaces. This invention allows a job box to be broken down into three sub-assemblies of roughly equal size. The individual sub-assemblies are easier to carry since they are compact and can be held close to the body when the user is in a standing position. The individual sub-assemblies stack well against each other allowing the storage box to be stored and transported in a more space efficient way than present art unitary assembly storage boxes.

In use, axial translation of the actuation cable results in one of an opening and a closing of the jaw assembly.

A negative pressure wound therapy system includes a wound dressing and a suction device configured to be in fluid communication with the wound dressing via a conduit to channel a fluid between at least the wound dressing and the suction device. The suction device includes a vacuum connection configured to be coupled to the conduit, a vacuum pump, an analog electronic pressure sensor in electrical communication with the vacuum pump, and a passive valve assembly. The passive valve assembly is in fluid communication with (1) the vacuum pump, (2), the analog electronic pressure sensor, and (3) the vacuum connection, and is configured to maintain the vacuum pump in fluid communication with the vacuum connection within a predefined pressure range, and to passively inhibit fluid communication between the vacuum pump and the vacuum connection outside of the predefined pressure range.

Handle

Handles for use in exercise apparatus and in lifting apparatus are provided. The handles have an elongated handle body with a top head, a bottom head, and a central bore extending along a longitudinal axis. A top pulley is coupled to the top head and is rotatable around a top axis that is substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. A bottom pulley is coupled to the bottom head and is rotatable around a bottom axis that is substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. At least one secondary pulley is associated with at least one of the top pulley and the bottom pulley. A cord is disposed on a circumferential surface of the top pulley, the cord passing through the central bore and being disposed on a circumferential surface of the bottom pulley, so that when the handle body is moved, the top and bottom pulleys rotate to allow the cord to travel smoothly through the central bore.

A utility light kit has one or more lights that can mount on a top platform of a ladder without requiring the user to use one hand for holding a light. The utility light kit is a portable, cordless, safe, battery-operated device that includes a tool utility tray for keeping tools or other objects conveniently located when working on a job where the ladder needs to be moved frequently. The light can be an LED panel having a plurality of lights that can be rotated to provide light in a desired area. When the utility light kit is closed, the utility tray is covered, preventing the contents from spilling out while moving the ladder. An attachment mechanism, such as clips or an attachment strap, can secure the utility light kit to the top platform of the ladder.

A combination hand weight and rope pull device that includes a pair of hand weights. The two weights can be used independently, or they can be joined by at least one rope attached to a rotor in the weight head. The heads rotate through an unlimited arc so that the ropes do not bind when the device is in use. If, as in the standard model, each of the weights is equipped with only one active head with a rotor, one or two ropes may be used in parallel to add resistance to the hand weights. In a first alternate embodiment, each of the weight heads is equipped with a rotor (four total). Typically, a pair of the ropes are joined together in series with a joining element so that two or four ropes may be employed. The joining elements can be disconnected so that the pair of weights can be used individually. In a second alternate embodiment, each of the weight heads are aiso equipped with a rotor (four total). However, in this embodiment, the units are joined in parallel, rather than in series so that one to four ropes may be used. The total number of available resistance levels is therefore five (zero to four ropes utilized).

Subject invention is a cable lock designed such that it may be adjusted by the user to be locked tightly around an object such as a surfboard. A sleeve fitting is swaged to a length of cable such that a loop is formed at the end of cable. This loop is used to secure the cable to a rack or other stationary component. A block is used to retain the cable around the object itself. The cable passes through a hole in one end of the block, wraps around the object, and slides into a slot in the other end of the block. An end fitting swaged to the cable prevents the cable from sliding out of the slot in a parallel direction. A padlock is used to prevent the cable from sliding out of the slot in a perpendicular direction. A setscrew is used to retain the block to the cable in the desired location.
