A method of sighting a target includes receiving an initial condition of an optical device. The initial condition includes a size of a ranging element and a range associated with the size of the ranging element. The method further includes receiving a ballistic information and receiving an image from an imaging sensor. At least a portion of the image is displayed on a display. The ranging element is overlaid on the displayed portion of the image. A first zoom input is received to set a first zoom value that corresponds to a first distance from the optical device. The method also includes determining a first projectile position based on the first distance and the ballistic information.

Optical device utilizing ballistic zoom and methods for sighting a target

An improved electronic aiming device for use with a weapon or other manually aimed device. Means are provided to vary the field of view, determine range to target, compensate for bullet drop, and to compensate for crosswind, without removing either hand from the weapon, by monitoring the tilt of the weapon upon which the device is mounted.

D-scope aiming device

A digital targeting scope apparatus includes an image sensor and a lens for acquiring video images of objects at which the aiming device is aimed; an image processor; a tilt sensor; and a display component for displaying the video images captured by the image sensor, all mounted in a tubular housing. An interchangeable digital camera module is carried by the first end of the housing. A control/display module is removably fastened to the second end of the housing. The control/display module is electrically connected to the camera module through a connector on the sensor circuit board of the camera module when the control/display module is installed in the second end of the housing. The control portion includes a circuit board and a display component mounted thereon. The display portion houses an eyepiece lens assembly aligned with the display component.

Dscope aiming device

An improved electronic aiming device for use with a weapon or other manually aimed device. Means are provided to vary the field of view, i.e., the magnification, of the aiming device in relation to the movement of the device upon which the aiming device is securely mounted and the target.

Auto zoom aiming device

An improved aiming tube pivot assembly for use in a sighting and/or aiming apparatus which comprises an aiming tube axially mounted within an outer tube (or housing). A support ring supports the aiming tube within the outer tube in a gimbal-like arrangement by means of ball bearings and set screws. The ball bearings are secured intermediate the aiming tube and the support ring via apertures in the outer tube. The set screws are threadedly mounted in the support ring and engage the outer surface of the outer tube. A movable cover tube can be mounted on the outer tube and substantially encloses the end of the outer tube and the support ring.

The present invention relates to an improved off-axis optical sighting system for a weapon or the like to provide a means to infinitely vary the size of the dot image seen by the user's eye.

Zoom dot sighting system

A rotary displacement device which can be a spherical internal combustion engine, comprising a housing having a generally spherical cavity therein; a displacement member with generally spherical inner and outer configurations mounted within the cavity in the housing; and a drive mechanism including a drive shaft with a nutating member mounted thereto at a spherically shaped mounting portion positioned within the inner spherical configuration of the displacement member. The drive mechanism, displacemnent member and spherical cavity all share a common, fixed, center point. The displacement member travles in an arc within the cavity such that the axis of the arc passes through the center point. The displacement member drives the nutating member through a defined movement path which path passes through the center point. The nutating member drives the drive shaft in a rotational path the axis of which passes through the common center point. This operation distinguishes this rotary displacement device from all other known nutating and/or spherical engines.

Spherical internal combustion engine

An integrated plumbing system comprising a plurality of interchangeable and interengagable parts which is especially useful in conjunction with boats or other marine vessels. The plumbing system includes a through-hull unit, a mounting unit, a ball valve and a plurality of components useful therewith. The components, including the valve, are made of a strong, non-corrosive, non-metallic material, in particular, a plastic-type material known as MARELON. The valve and associated components and fittings provide various configurations of units which are adapted to numerous plumbing requirements. The mounting unit permits close-coupling of the system to provide enhanced lever ratios in the event accidental side loads are applied to the system.

A lock assembly is provided which contains a spring-loaded dead bolt and a spring-loaded plunger intercoupled to one another. The assembly is such that when the door is closed, the plunger is pushed in by the striker plate on the door frame, and this releases the spring-biased dead bolt and causes the dead bolt to be fully extended into the cavity in the striker plate. When that occurs, the linkage coupling the assembly to the doorknob moves to a position in which one of its members serves as a stop to prevent the dead bolt from being forced back to a retracted position until the doorknob is turned.

A mount for a tubular supporting rail of a marine vessel for securing an antenna to the mount by means of an antenna ferrule. The mount includes clamping elements adapted to be secured to the supporting rail and carrying a threaded securing post, one clamping element has a cylindrical end to rotatably mount an L-shaped hollow rotary member that is mounted to the cylindrical end of the one clamping element and is rotatably positioned thereto. The L-shaped member includes an outwardly extending mounting post for securing objects thereto and thereby the supporting rail.

A resettable single-barrel single-plug cylindrical two section lock assembly is provided wherever master keying is required. The lock of the invention is intended to be operated and reset by three different keys. One key (#1 key) is used to turn the lock to a position in which it may be reset by either of the other two keys. One of the other two keys (#2 key) operates a first section of the dual lock; and the other of the other of the two keys (#3 key) operates a second section of the lock which is independent of the first section. Either section may be reset by inserting the existing #2 or #3 key into the lock once the lock has been turned by the (#1) key to a predetermined position, and then turning the lock to the reset position, and after the existing key has been withdrawn, turning the lock back to its normal operating position by the new key, either the #2 or #3 keys, depending upon which section of the lock is being re-keyed.
