The present disclosure relates to an optical termination enclosure having an enclosure housing containing a fiber management assembly. The enclosure housing can define sealed cable ports and can include cable anchor mounting locations in alignment with the cable ports. Cable anchoring and grounding units can be attached at the cable anchor mounting locations. The fiber management assembly can include a fiber break-out arrangement including a resilient grommet used to anchor a protective tube that carries optical fibers from the cable anchor mounting location to the fiber management assembly.

Optical termination enclosure

A telecommunications box includes a base frame, having generally planar outer walls that form an enclosed loop around an interior volume. The outer walls include first and second sidewalls that are parallel to and spaced apart from one another. A flange adjoins front-facing edge sides of the outer walls and extends away from the outer walls in an opposite direction as the interior volume. A first window, which is partially defined by the front-facing edge sides of the outer walls, exposes the interior volume from a front side of the base frame. A second window, which is partially defined by rear-facing edge sides of the outer walls, exposes the interior volume from a rear side of the base frame. The first window occupies the same footprint in a front-facing position that the second window occupies in a rear-facing position that is rotationally reversed from the front-facing position.

A fiber optic cassette includes an enclosure having first and second generally planar outer walls, top and bottom walls, a rear wall, a plurality of standardized fiber optic connectors, and a movable latch that is anchored to enclosure. The movable latch includes a roof section that extends over the top wall and a pair of angled teeth that extend downwards from the roof section towards the bottom wall of the enclosure. The movable latch is configured to move between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the roof section and the angled teeth are vertically spaced apart from the top wall. In the second position, the roof section is flush against the top wall, the first and second teeth overhang over the first and second outer walls, and the pair of angled teeth are disposed at an oblique angle relative to the bottom wall.

A fiber optic cable system includes a fiber optic main cable having a strength member and a plurality of optical fibers extending therein within an outer cable sheath. A flexible longitudinally extending inner housing is positioned proximate the plurality of optical fibers on a section of the main cable having the outer cable sheath removed. At least one fiber optic drop cable has at least one optical fiber having an end portion extending outwardly from an end of the drop cable. The end portion is spliced together with an end portion of a corresponding at least one severed end portion of one of the plurality of optical fibers of the main cable to define at least one spliced together fiber portion coupling at least one of the plurality of optical fibers of the main cable to a corresponding one of the at least one fiber of the drop cable. A longitudinally extending outer protective housing extends over the section of the main cable having the outer cable sheath removed and the inner housing and the strength member. The outer protective housing has a first opening receiving the main cable and a second opening, longitudinally displaced from the first opening, receiving the main cable and at least one of the openings receiving the drop cable or cables.

A telsplice stick device adapted to connect at least two electrical cables is provided. The telsplice connector includes a plurality of connectors, where each connector has opposing sides. At least one of the opposing sides of one connector is removably connected to one of the opposing sides of another connector by an ultrasonic weld. A crimping device is used with the telsplice stick, where the telsplice stick is inserted into the crimping device. At least one, but generally two or more cables are inserted into the telsplice connectors in the telsplice stick and spliced together.
