A method for enhanced access control is provided that includes the steps of displaying buttons, by an electronic device, where each button corresponds to a different service. Moreover, the method includes receiving, by the electronic device, input regarding a selected service, transmitting at least one credential for the selected service to a computer, and capturing, by a camera in communication with the computer, facial image data of a user. The method also includes determining whether the facial image data was taken of a live person. In response to determining the facial image data was taken of a live person, a verification transaction is conducted based on the at least one credential and facial image data. In response to verifying the identity of the user as true, the user is granted access to the selected service.

Enhanced access control

A method for enhanced authorization to access transportation hub services is provided that includes creating, by an electronic device, a token based on credentials of a traveler. Moreover, the method includes displaying the token by the electronic device for scanning for accessing a security service area and determining whether the credentials are valid. In response to determining the credentials are valid, a traveler operating the electronic device is authorized to access the security service area. Otherwise, the traveler is denied access to the security service area.

Enhanced authorization to access transportation hub services

A method of authenticating users is provided that includes storing data in a buffer. The data is within a temporal window and includes biometric data extracted from frames included in a video and quality feature values calculated for each frame. Each quality feature value corresponds to a different quality feature. Moreover, the method includes calculating a score for each different quality feature using the corresponding quality feature values, and determining a most recent frame included in the video includes biometric data usable in a biometric authentication matching transaction when the calculated score for each different quality feature satisfies a respective threshold score value.

Biometric authentication system

A biometric authentication system configured to enable an authentication process has predefined parameters associated therewith and provides for authentication of a user based on a comparison of a presented biometric with at least one previously stored biometric. The authentication system includes a matching system providing as an output an output score based on the comparison of the presented biometric and the at least one previously stored biometric. Moreover the authentication system is configured to authenticate the user on determining that a parameter based on the output score, meets a threshold score, and includes an audit module configured to monitor the authentication process and to provide at least one revised threshold score. The at least one revised threshold score is provided based on an analysis of the performance of the authentication system over a predefined time period using current threshold scores.
