A vehicle seat (), in particular a motor vehicle seat, includes a seat part (), a backrest () and a four-bar-linkage arrangement (), having a coupler (), for the at least indirect coupling of the seat part () to a vehicle floor (S). The vehicle seat () is transferable from a use position suitable for transporting an individual either into a first non-use position or into a second non-use position. The seat part () has a seat-part frame (), which is pivotable relative to the coupler (), and a locking device (), which blocks a pivoting of the seat-part frame () relative to the coupler () in a first actuating state of the locking means (). The locking device () permits a pivoting of the seat-part frame () relative to the coupler () in a second actuating state of the locking device ().

A vehicle includes a seat part and a backrest which together are configured to be pivoted about a generally vertically aligned pivot axis from a use position into an entry position and from the use position into a cargo position. The seat part is configured to be substantially perpendicular to the backrest in the use position and the entry position. The seat part is configured to be substantially parallel to the backrest in the cargo position. The seat part and the backrest are configured to be pivoted at least approximately 30 degrees from the use position into the entry position. The seat part and the backrest are configured to be pivoted approximately 90 degrees from the use position into the cargo position.

The seat cushion is configured for movement between a use position and a loading position by rotating the seat cushion through approximately 180&#xb0; about a second axis parallel to the first axis. The seat further includes a first lever and a second lever for defining the movement between the use position and the loading position. The first lever and second lever are coupled to the lower seat part at a first location and a second location. The first location is closer to the front in relation to a direction of travel as compared to the second location and the first lever is positioned essentially identically both in the use position and in the loading position.
