A field programmable gate array (FPGA) has an interface circuit that allows signals to be transmitted directly between the FPGA and a processor. The processor interface (PI) of the FPGA enables the processor to access data at any time from either programmable logic of the FPGA or system registers of the PI. The present invention eliminates the need for external intermediate logic previously required to interface an FPGA and a processor.

A programmable logic device (PLD), such as a field programmable gate array (FPGA), has a programmable clock manager (PCM) that converts an input clock into at least two different output clocks having different clock rates. The different output clocks can be used to control different processes either within or outside the FPGA. For example, one output clock can be used to control the FPGA's input/output registers, while a second, faster output clock can be used to control the FPGA's internal registers.

A message holder for use in vehicles or home or other building windows or the like provides for the display of a message inserted therein. The holder is formed of at least one sheet of transparent material and contains a central space in which a message, such as a bumper sticker, may be temporarily installed for display. Suspension rods are pivotally attached to opposite ends of the holder and have suction cups to provide for the attachment of the holder to any suitable surface. The suspension rods may be locked at any desired angle in order to allow a message displayed within the holder to be seen clearly even through a sloped window, as in the rear window of many vehicles. The holder provides for the temporary display of a bumper sticker or other message as desired without the need to adhesively secure the sticker to a surface and the resulting difficulty of subsequent removal and possible marring of the finish. An alternative version includes suction cups on attachment lugs extending from each end of the holder.

A method and apparatus for applying a cover to a cushion of larger size than the cover by forcing the cushion into a confining chamber which reduces the size of the cushion. The cover is then slid over the cushion. The cushion is then expelled from the chamber taking the cover with it. The cushion expands within the cover as it leaves the confining chamber.
