A high rise recycling system for a multi-story building comprises a vertical chute extending from the bottom to top floor, discharge openings on each floor, a rotatable chute at the lower end to discharge garbage into a compactor and to discharge recyclable glass, paper, aluminum and plastic into a selective discharge assembly which selectively discharges each of the separate items into respective containers for such separate items. A control circuit having control switches on each floor controls operation of the selective discharge assembly. A power circuit drives a conveyor belt which carries the recyclable items through the selective discharge assembly to their respective discharge outlets for deposit into their respective containers.

High rise recycling system

A station for testing electrical devices under elevated and depressed temperature conditions, said devices being transported through and tested in the station while held in coordinated planar sets. The planarly arranged sets of devices are sequentially placed upon a platen movable along three mutually orthogonal axes. A test head has a plurality of electrical device contactors in planar arrangement corresponding to the arrangement of the devices sets. At least one axis along which the platen moves is orthogonal to a general plane of the contactors for establishing parallel contact between the devices and the contactors. During testing each of the leads of the devices resting upon the platen are electrically contacted by a contactor. The leads of the full set of electrical devices can be contacted simultaneously, or the leads can be contacted in subsets depending upon the capacity of the test head. The test head energizes and stimulates the electrical devices, and the responses of the devices are communicated to a tester via the test head. Prior to being deposited upon the platen, the planarly arranged sets of electrical devices are conveyed through a chamber which elevates or depresses the temperature of the devices to a selected testing temperature. Following testing, the sets of electrical devices are conveyed through a chamber which brings the temperature of the devices back to or near equilibrium with the temperature ambient to the test center.

Test station

A trailer hitch particularly for recreational vehicles of the type having a rear cross frame member, a vehicle bumper spaced rearwardly from the cross frame member and a holding tank dump tube with its outlet at a location intermediate the ends of the rear cross frame member. The trailer hitch has mounting plates attached to the rear frame member at opposite sides of the dump tube outlet and the trailer hitch has a generally U-shaped bracket that extends downwardly and rearwardly from the mounting plates to a level below the vehicle bumper and a panel member that extends rearwardly from the U-shaped hitch bracket with trailer coupling means at the rear end thereof.

Vehicle trailer hitch

An improved laminated motor core for a linear induction motor utilizing windings. The pole piece portion of the core has at least one laterally offset section along its length. There is additionally provided a core having a plurality of offsets along its length as well as cores with pole pieces rectilinearly tapered toward their face.

Staggered motor core

An improved railway truck for providing non-contact active support between the unsprung and the sprung elements as well as lateral stability and banking of vehicles used in surface supported transportation systems having unsprung surface contacting elements, sprung load carrying elements, magnetic force fields, inertial and position sensing elements mounted on the sprung element and a non-linear feedback circuit for actively varying the strength of the force field to maintain a relatively stable air gap between the unsprung and sprung elements while also holding the sprung element to a smooth course notwithstanding irregular surface conditions encountered by the surface contacting elements or variations in loading on the load carrying element.

Railway truck magnetic suspension

An improved method for providing non-contact active support between the unsprung and the sprung elements of a railway truck as well as lateral stability and banking of vehicles used in surface supported transportation systems having unsprung surface contacting elements, sprung load carrying elements, magnetic force fields, inertial and position sensing elements mounted on the sprung element and a non-linear feedback circuit for actively varying the strength of the force field to maintain a relatively stable air gap between the unsprung and sprung elements while also holding the sprung element to a smooth course not withstanding irregular surface conditions encountered by the surface contacting elements or variations in loading on the load carrying element.
