A spindle liner including an axial sleeve having an axial length and an inner bore for receiving a stock piece is provided. The spindle liner further includes fins extending radially outward from the axial sleeve for supporting the axial sleeve within a spindle. Each fin extends along the axial length of the spindle liner. The spindle liner may be extruded from a high density material such as high density polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride or nylon and molybdenum disulfide. The spindle liner may further include an retaining flange attached to a distal end of the spindle liner.

Reusable beverage can grip

A beverage can holder having a flat top member with a protrusion having groove for engaging the top rim of a beverage can, a central elongated body having a bulbous upper section and a flat lower section to provide a grip conformable to the user's hand, and a base member with a flat bottom and first and second curving backs for engagement with the bottom and side of the beverage can. The beverage can holder is releasably attached to the beverage can such that the beverage can is held at an angle to a flat surface. The novel method of attachment to a beverage can, and the novel shape of the beverage can holder allows the user to enjoy a beverage from a can as if the user was drinking from a stein or mug.

A recumbent tricycle with differential brake steering providing enhanced performance and a controllable maneuverability for use as a recreational or short-ranged commuter vehicle. The vehicle is suited to peddle power and in the alternative; small gasoline, electric or alternate fuel engine drive. This invention discloses two parallel forward leading wheels combing the braking and steering functions through the application of a differential mechanism in the drive axle. Manual brake handles on each side of the operator seat are used to brake and to steer through braking. A single caster wheel trails and has an operator controlled maneuverability dampening devise. Application of a single brake will cause the tricycle to rapidly pivot about the braked wheel without loss of energy and without the need to reduce speed to maintain stability.

Method and apparatus for dynamically determining average gage of continuous sheet material passing about a work roll for subsequent winding or coiling upon a take-up reel. The apparatus includes pulse tachometers for both the work roll, of known diameter, as well as the take-up reel. A comparison of the angular velocity of both the work roll and take-up reel results in a precise velocity ratio for a given period of time. The ratio, when taken in conjunction with the revolutions of the take-up reel, is then used within a digital logic apparatus for determining the change in coil diameter for the given time period, thereby resulting in the average gage of the continuous sheet material wound upon the take-up reel for that given time period. Strip length may also be calculated by the same apparatus.
