A system and method for providing marine connectivity that include receiving sensor data from a plurality of sensors of a watercraft. The system and method also include determining watercraft operational data associated with an operation of the watercraft. The system and method further include communicating the watercraft operational data to at least one external computing infrastructure associated with a user.

Some embodiments are directed to a transmission that includes an input shaft connected to a crankshaft, an output shaft contained within a transmission housing, an input gear contained within the transmission housing and connected to the input shaft, and an output gear contained within the transmission housing and connected to the output shaft and engaging the input gear. A directional gear assembly is contained within the transmission housing at a location between the output shaft and the drive shaft. The directional gear assembly includes a first configuration in which the output shaft drives the drive shaft in a first rotational direction, a second configuration in which the output shaft drives the drive shaft in a second rotational direction that is opposite to the first rotational direction, and a third configuration in which the drive shaft is disconnected from the output shaft.

Outboard motor for a watercraft and methods of use and manufacture thereof

A convertible system includes a pair of movable side rails, each being connected to a structural pillar. A front header spans between forward ends of the side rails. A side rail latching mechanism releasably attaches the side rails to the structural pillars. A roof member includes a flexible, foldable roof panel and a panel header secured to and covered by the roof panel. The panel header has lateral end portions movably coupled to the side rails. The roof member is movable between a closed position, a pre-defined intermediate opened position, and a fully opened position. The roof member together with the side rails is further movable to a stowed position rearward of a vehicle occupant cabin. A roof member latch mechanism is mounted to the panel header for releasably attaching the panel header to the front header.

A wiper lifter assembly includes a wiper ramp that lifts a wiper away from a wiper surface on a vehicle and a wiper contact member that is attached to an upper surface of the wiper ramp. The wiper contact member may act as a sound damper to greatly reduce the undesirable noise otherwise caused when the wiper contacts the wiper lifter assembly. The assembly may also include an isolation pad for attaching the assembly to the vehicle.

A telematic vehicle antenna for dampening low frequency vibrations includes a shaft adapted to be mounted on a vehicle, wherein the shaft has a longitudinal axis and an outer surface, the outer surface has a configuration that surrounds and extends generally parallel to the longitudinal axis, and the diameter of the configuration defines the diameter of the shaft. The antenna further comprises a conductor substantially enclosed by the outer surface and an air turbulence generator in contact with the outer surface for dampening vibrations transmitted to a vehicle by the shaft, wherein the air turbulence generator extends helically in a direction generally parallel to the longitudinal axis, and the air turbulence generator extends radially outwardly from the outer surface of the shaft by a distance greater than or equal to about % of the diameter of the shaft. A method of dampening low frequency vibrations associated with telematic antennas is also disclosed.
