An adjustable implant is disclosed herein. The adjustable implant may comprise a shell including membrane and a base and having a first diameter in a plane parallel to the base. A band may be disposed within the shell. The band may have a first end and a second end connected to a spool. The band may be in a round (e.g., elliptical) configuration having a second diameter in the plane that is less than the first diameter. By wrapping the band onto the spool, the diameter of the band may be decreased and the height of the implant may be increased. By unwrapping the band from the spool, the diameter of the band may be increased and the height of the implant may be decreased.

Adjustable implant

An implant-delivery sleeve may comprise an enclosure having at least one opening and at least one vent conduit. The vent conduit may extend along a surface of the enclosure to assist in removing fluids (e.g., blood and air) from the tissue pocket to facilitate implantation of the implant.

The present invention is directed to an intraluminal guiding device having an expandable guiding member so as to facilitate and overcome the difficulties associated with obtaining contra-lateral leg access of a bifurcated stent or a bifurcated stent graft with a second guidewire and a method for treating abdominal aortic aneurysms with such a device. The guiding device comprises a pre-loaded second wire positioned within the contra-lateral leg which facilitates access to said leg in accordance with the present invention.

Various embodiments of an adjustable implant are disclosed herein. The adjustable implant comprises a hydraulic mechanism disposed within the shell, which includes a first component and a second component that is moveable with respect to the first component, and a band with a first and second end disposed within the shell in a round (e.g., elliptical) configuration having a second diameter in the plane that is less than the first diameter. In some embodiments, the first end of the band may be connected to the first component and the second end of the band may be connected to the second component. In some embodiments, the mechanism may include a fluid and a pump that has a first actuator comprising a first chamber and a second actuator comprising a second chamber. Depressing the first actuator causes the first component to move in a first direction, which reduces the diameter of the band and increases the height of the implant. Depressing the second actuator causes the first component to move in a direction opposite the first direction, which increases the diameter of the band and decreases the height of the implant.

A wound closure assembly and method for its use. The wound closure assembly includes a curved inserter having a distal end and a proximal end, a filamentary element extending between a proximal end and a distal end, wherein the proximal end is coupled to the proximal end of the curved inserter, a first anchor coupled to the filamentary element between its first and second ends, and a second anchor positioned at the distal end of the filamentary element. The filamentary element is configured to form a slip knot between the first and second anchors so as to enable the distance between the first and second anchors to be decreased by pulling on the proximal end of the filamentary element. The distal end of the curved inserter is received within a channel in the first anchor that extends along its longitudinal length.

A filter retrieval system for retrieving a previously implanted medical filter, and methods of using the retrieval system, are disclosed. The filter retrieval system has a flexible shaft, a retrieval element, and a handle with an actuator. The flexible shaft may be catheter-based, and has a proximal and a distal end, and has an opening near its distal end. The handle is affixed to the shaft near the proximal end of the shaft, and the actuator is adapted to manipulate the retrieval element to grasp or hook or otherwise engage a portion of the filter, and then pull the filter in through the opening into a passage or lumen of the catheter shaft. The retrieval system is capable of retrieving a filter in into a proximal and distal space defined by the flexible shaft, though only one space at a time.

A filter retrieval system for retrieving a previously implanted medical filter, and methods of using the retrieval system, are disclosed. The retrieval system is capable of retrieving a filter in into a proximal and distal space defined by the flexible shaft, though only one space at a time.

An aneurysmal repair system that utilizes a modified intraluminal scaffold apex and a delta stitch suture to secure graft material to the scaffold structure allows for no relative movement between the graft material and the scaffold structure. The absence of relative movement reduces the wear on the graft material.

Method and device for attaching a stent structure to AAA graft material

A biodegradable intralumenal device that is capable of drug delivery. The device has circular hoops connected by one or more flexible links defining a substantially cylindrical configuration capable of having a closed configuration and an open configuration. Each hoop mateably connects with or interlocks with an adjacent hoop in the open configuration in order to retain this configuration subsequent to delivery of the device.

An aneurysmal repair system that utilizes a modified apex and delivery device is designed for accurate endoprosthesis delivery and deployment. The modified apex utilizes segments that overlap and hold one another down as well as the fixation barbs attached thereto. The delivery device holds or secures at least one section of the apex and may be easily released by retraction of a hold down member.

The panel is pivotable upwardly and rearwardly from a first position in which it is generally horizontally oriented for supporting the user's feet to a second position behind the user's feet whereby to allow the user to stand unencumbered by the panel.
