According to one embodiment, a system includes a cabinet and an apparatus. The cabinet includes a cabinet housing, a door coupled to the cabinet housing to form a cabinet storage compartment, and a support member mounted in the cabinet storage compartment, the support member having a front surface having a first mounting element. The apparatus has a second mounting element and a locking element. The locking element is alterable between: (1) an unlocked state in which the second mounting element of the apparatus can be coupled and decoupled from the first mounting element of the support member of the cabinet; and (2) a locked state in which the second mounting element of the apparatus is prohibited from being decoupled from the first mounting element of the support member.

In one embodiment, the present disclosure is directed to a cabinet having a charging device. The cabinet's housing has a cavity, a door configured both to close to cover the cavity and to open to expose the cavity, and shelves extending horizontally across the cavity. The charging device is positioned within the cavity and includes a housing, a charger for charging an electronic device, a receiving portion configured to hold the electronic device upright, a light source configured to shine through at least a portion of the device housing to illuminate the cavity of the cabinet housing, and an electrical outlet.

According to one embodiment, a system includes a cabinet, a cabinet housing, a mirrored door, and an accessory. The mirrored door includes a first mirror having a reflective surface forming an outer surface of the mirrored door, a second mirror having a reflective surface forming an inner surface of the mirrored door, and a first ferromagnetic element embedded within the mirrored door and located between the first and second mirrors. The accessory, which includes a second ferromagnetic element, is sized and shaped to be stored within the storage compartment of the cabinet. The accessory can be mounted to the mirrored door by magnetic attraction between the first and second ferromagnetic elements.

According to one embodiment, a lighting apparatus includes light sources, each light source emitting a different electromagnetic radiation having a different color temperature when turned ON. A controller turns ON and OFF each light source such that each electromagnetic radiation of each light source comprises a series of pulses. The controller alternate between turning ON each of the light sources with a speed sufficient to cause a perception of mixing the electromagnetic radiations of the light sources, thereby causing an appearance of a perceived light having a perceived color temperature different from the color temperatures of the light sources. To ensure that only one of the light sources is ON at a time, the controller waits a predetermined time between turning OFF a light source and turning ON a subsequent light source. The predetermined time is based on both a time for a light source of the plurality of light sources to turn OFF and a variable buffer time.

LED control method for perceived mixing

A system that includes a cabinet and an accessory capable of being stored within a storage compartment of the cabinet. The cabinet may include a cabinet housing and a mirrored door having a ferromagnetic element. The mirrored door may include a first mirror having a reflective surface forming an outer surface of the mirrored door and a second mirror having a reflective surface forming an inner surface of the mirrored door. The ferromagnetic element may be embedded within the first and second mirrors. In an example the first ferromagnetic element may be an elongated plate formed of a ferromagnetic material. The accessory may include another ferromagnetic element that may include one or more magnets. The accessory may be sized and shaped to be capable of being stored within a storage compartment of the cabinet. The accessory may be mounted to the mirrored door by magnetic attraction between the ferromagnetic elements.

A lighting apparatus may include light sources. Each light source may emit a different electromagnetic radiation having a different color temperature when turned ON. The lighting apparatus may include a voltage source providing power to the light sources and a controller. The controller may turn ON and OFF each light source such that each electromagnetic radiation of each light source comprises a series of pulses. The controller may alternate between turning ON each of the light sources with a speed sufficient to cause a perception of mixing the electromagnetic radiations of the light sources, thereby causing an appearance of a perceived light having a perceived color temperature different from the color temperatures of the light sources. A system that includes a cabinet and an accessory that is capable of being stored within a storage compartment of the cabinet. The cabinet may include a mirrored door having a ferromagnetic element. The accessory may include another ferromagnetic element. The accessory may be mounted to the door by magnetic attraction between the ferromagnetic elements. When the accessory is within the cabinet, it may be mounted to a charger so as to charge a power source of the accessory. In some embodiments, the accessory may be automatically transitioned into an active state when it is detected that the accessory is mounted to the door. The accessory may include a user-operated actuator that has a first functionality when the accessory is mounted to the door and a second functionality when the accessory is not mounted to the door.

A lighting assembly is generally elongate having a base and a lens, which are configured to cooperatively define a cavity for receiving a light emitting device therein. The lens includes an inner layer and an outer layer, the inner layer being configured to diffuse light from the light emitting device passing through the lens and the outer layer being configured to change the hue of light passing through the lens. The outer layer and the inner layer are configured to provide the lens with four refractive surfaces for light passing through the lens.
