A fuel injector for a gas turbine engine combustor is provided that includes a swirler, a mounting stage, and a distributor. The swirler has a shaft, a collar, a throat section, and first and second axial ends. The throat section includes an inner radial surface that defines a central passage that extends between the swirler inner bore and the collar. The collar includes a plurality of apertures extending therethrough disposed radially outside of the central passage. The mounting stage is disposed in the inner bore, and has an annular flange, a central hub, and at least one strut. The distributor has a stem attached to a head. The stem has a distal end opposite the head portion engaged with the central hub. The head portion has an end surface and a side surface. The distributor is selectively positionable relative to the throat section.

Adjustable gaseous fuel injector

A fuel delivery apparatus is provided for a gas turbine engine. This fuel delivery apparatus includes a fuel injector. The fuel injector includes a plurality of fuel passages, a guide passage, a plurality of air passages, a mixing cavity and a fuel injector outlet. The fuel passages extend along an axis to the guide passage. The fuel passages converge radially inwards towards the axis as the fuel passages spiral about the axis towards the guide passage. The guide passage turns radially outwards away from the axis as the guide passage extends from the fuel passages to the mixing cavity. The air passages converge radially inwards towards the axis as the air passages extend axially to the mixing cavity. The mixing cavity fluidly couples the guide passage and the air passages to the fuel injector outlet.

Fuel delivery apparatus for a gas turbine engine

A gas turbine engine includes a combustor which has at least one annular wall defining a combustion chamber therein. The annular wall is formed by a circumferential array of panels overlapping one with another to define a plurality of radial gaps between respective adjacent two panels. The radial gaps are configured in a spiral pattern and are in fluid communication with the combustion chamber and a space outside the combustor to allow air surrounding the annular wall to enter the combustion chamber via the radial gaps for film cooling.

Combustor shape cooling system

A floating collar assembly for a gas turbine engine combustor includes a ferrule having a peripheral wall and a recessed surface bounded by the peripheral wall, the recessed surface of the ferrule including a particulate collecting groove adjacent the peripheral wall, and a cap secured to the peripheral wall of the ferrule. The recessed surface of the ferrule, an interior surface of the cap and the peripheral wall of the ferrule define a cavity. A floating collar is disposed within the cavity and includes a peripheral flange inwardly spaced a distance from the peripheral wall of the ferrule.
