A system is disclosed for pre-registering authentication devices. A security key provider system may receive a request to pre-register a security key with identified applications from an enterprise. Responsive to receiving the request, the security key provider system instructs the security key to generate a unique authentication code for each of the applications. The security key provider system may generate pre-registration information based on the authentication codes and pre-register the authentication codes of the security key to the applications by providing the pre-registration information to the applications on behalf of the enterprise. The security key provider system may instead provide the pre-registration information to the enterprise to allow the enterprise to pre-register the authentication codes.

Pre-registration of authentication devices

A device for identification and authentication of a remote user connecting to a service over a network includes a cryptographic processor and at least one cryptographic key and storage means, additional processing means and interface means to generate and transmit a unique authentication code as emulated keystrokes through a standard input, means of a client terminal. The code may be transmitted only by an explicit command of the user.

A universal serial bus type-C (USB-C) plug includes a barrel, signal contacts, retention latches, and a surface mounting assembly. The barrel has an insertion end, a contact end opposite the insertion end, and a pair of long sides and a pair of short sides between the contact end and the insertion end. The signal contacts and retention latches are arranged within the barrel, the signal contacts along the long sides, and the retention latches along the short sides. The surface mounting assembly is connected to the contact end of the barrel and includes surface mount contact points each connected to a respective signal contact, and retention latch contact points each connected to a respective retention latch. Each surface mount contact point extends substantially perpendicular to the signal contacts, and each retention latch contact point extends substantially perpendicular to the retention latches and to the surface mount contact points.

Portable security device with dual interfaces

It is presented a method, performed in a one time password, OTP, generating device. The OTP device comprises an NFC/RFID, Near Field Communication/Radio Frequency Identification, interface. The method comprises the steps of: upon the OTP generating device being inserted into the RF field, generating a new OTP code; formatting the OTP code into a static message; responding to interrogation requests from an RFID/NFC reader; and responding to read requests from the RFID/NFC reader with the OTP code being part of a message as if it were a static message, using standardized methods. A corresponding device OTP generating device is also presented.

Devices and methods for identification, authentication and signing purposes

The invention provides a low-cost access control device for identification and authentication in both the 'digital' and 'physical' worlds by contact-bound respectively contact-less interfaces and where individual users of the device can securely update access control credentials and cryptographic keys from a remote system without the need for any additional hardware or specialized software. The access control credentials and the at least one cryptographic key shall be readable by an access control system via the contact-less interface of the device, thereby enabling or denying the holder of the device access.
