A tape measure device has an elongated blade with a central concave-convex segment with at least one planar segment adjoining edgewise the central concave-convex segment to form a junction that extends substantially along the entire length of the elongated blade. During formation of the blade the junction is annealed to avoid formation of a flaw or incipient fracture along the junction.

Compressor apparatus

An air compressor assembly including a rotatable handle that provides protection and structure for transporting the apparatus. The apparatus further includes a plurality of air tanks each of which are configured to be removable and replaced when necessary.

A knife has a blade that can be contained within a housing when not in use and extended outside the housing when used. Additional blades can be stored within the housing, and when desired, loaded onto a blade seat. A trigger actuator moves a blade seat carrying a blade between extended and retracted positions. The blade seat may be locked into a number of different positions.

A tool adapted to be coupled to a power drill includes a multi-component bit mounted to reverse positions so that in one position its drill element drills a hole and in another position its driver element drives in a fastener.

Ratcheting driver

A compact ratcheting driver has a handle portion and a an extendible ratcheting head portion. The head portion has a pair of parallel guide rails which are coplanar with and extend into the handle to engage a pair of complementary guide shoulders formed within the handle. The head portion includes ratcheting means connected to a driver element for engaging and driving an element to be driven and detent means for selectively locking the head portion in either an extended disposition or a retracted disposition. In one embodiment, the handle portion includes a fixed drive socket. In a second embodiment, the handle includes selectively manually actuated lighting means to illuminate a work area in which the ratcheting driver element is to engage a driven element.
