The present disclosure provides a nasal delivery device with a device body that includes a trigger end and an outlet end. The nasal delivery device also includes a trigger assembly coupled to the trigger end of the device body, a drug container supported by the device body, and a spring-loaded activator assembly supported by the device body and disposed between the trigger assembly and the drug container.

The present disclosure relates to a medication delivery system including a medication administration device, a medication within the medication administration device, a container defining a cavity receiving the medication administration device, and a cap attached to the container and sealing the medication administration device within the cavity. The medication administration device includes an actuator extending from a body and operable to expel the medication by depressing the actuator into the body. The cap includes hold down members positioned to bear against the body of the medication administration device to prevent movement of the medication administration device toward the cap beyond a predetermined distance. The medication administration device is thereby prevented, inter alia, from prematurely discharging the medication during storage and transport.

Container assembly

A bandage has first and second adhesive areas on corresponding end portions of the bandage for adhering the bandage to the skin of a user, and a wound dressing pad between the two adhesive areas. Portions of first and second cover strips are disposed to protect corresponding adhesive areas on the bandage. A bandage wrapper envelopes the bandage including the cover strips, and the cover strips themselves are bonded by an adhesive to a confronting surface of the wrapper. Thus, when a user pulls the ends of the wrapper apart to open the wrapper and remove the bandage, each cover strip is peeled away from the bandage by a part of the wrapper to which the cover strip is bonded. The dressing pad on the bandage is then exposed to be applied on a wound without having to come in contact with the user's hands.

Sterile adhesive bandage wrapper construction

One embodiment of the present disclosure may be directed to a wrapped bandage. The wrapped bandage may include a wrapper having a top portion and a bottom portion. The top portion and the bottom portion each may include a first longitudinal edge, a second longitudinal edge, a third edge, and a fourth edge. Each edge may be continuous and straight along its entire length. The wrapped bandage may also include a bandage including an adhesive area and a pad. The wrapped bandage may also include a cover covering the adhesive area and a portion of the pad. The wrapper may surround the bandage and the cover. The edges of the top portion may be sealed to the edges of the bottom portion providing substantially no separation between the edges of the top and bottom portions.

Sterile bandage wrappers

A communication jack that withstands insertion of a communication plug with which the jack is not configured to mate without being damaged. The communication jack comprises a wire board and a number of contact wires that extend above the wire board and that are electrically coupled to respective contact regions on the wire board at first ends of the contact wires. The contact wires having second ends that are freely disposed for making electrical connections with corresponding contact wires of a mating communication plug. Each of the freely disposed ends of the contact wires are cantilevered from respective fist ends of the contact wires such that the contact wires are capable of being deflected when the freely disposed ends wipe against respective contact wires of the mating communication plug. Some of the freely disposed ends are deflected to a lesser degree than at least two opposing, outer freely disposed ends when the freely disposed ends wipe against and are deflected by respective contact wires of a mating communication plug. The freely disposed ends that are deflected to a lesser degree than the opposing, outer freely disposed ends abut a surface of the wire board. The configuration of the wire board is such that the opposing, outer freely disposed ends avoid abutting the surface of the wire board when the freely disposed ends wipe against and are deflected by respective contact wires of a mating communication plug.

A terminal housing for a communication jack assembly is disclosed. A representative embodiment of a terminal housing body for receiving a wire pair, the terminal housing body having a front end and a rear end, includes a base wall having a top portion. The terminal housing body also includes a channel formed in the top portion of the base wall for receiving the wire pair. The channel is adapted to guide the direction of the wire pair. The body further includes a plurality of wire guide posts extending from the top portion and joined by the base wall and running along opposing sides of the top portion of the base wall of the terminal housing body. Grooves separated by adjacent ones of the wire guide posts have openings into the channel for receiving the wires of the wire pair are also included in the body.

Terminal housing for a communication jack assembly

A communications connector assembly comprising a jack configured to mate with at least two different types of plugs. The jack comprises a wire board having first and second signal processing circuits thereon. When a first one of the different types of plugs is mated with the jack, the first signal processing circuit is activated. When a second one of the different types of plugs is mated with the jack, the second signal processing circuit is activated. The first signal processing circuit of the connector assembly includes crosstalk compensation circuitry. The first and second signal processing circuits constitute separate signal paths on the wire board. Thus, when the first plug is inserted into the jack, the signal is operated on in accordance with the configuration of the first signal processing circuitry and when the second plug is inserted into the jack, the signal is operated on in accordance with the configuration of the second signal processing circuitry.

Communications connector that operates in multiple modes for handling multiple signal types

An electrical connector terminal includes a planar wire connecting portion formed to connect with an outside wire lead, the connecting portion defining a first plane. A shoulder portion of the terminal has a planar first section extending from a first side of the connecting portion, and the first section defines a second plane that is normal to the first plane of the connecting portion so that the terminal is held stable when mounted on a wiring board and the first section of the shoulder portion is restrained by an outside part located out of the first plane of the wire connecting portion. An elongated mounting portion or tail is formed to fit axially in a terminal opening in the wiring board. The tail is joined to a free end of the first section of the shoulder portion remote from the wire connecting portion, and the second plane of the first section includes the axis of the mounting portion.

Communication connector terminal and terminal block configuration

A communication jack connector includes a wiring board having a front region, and a number of contact wires for engaging and making electrical connections with corresponding terminals of a conforming plug connector. The contact wires have free ends formed to be deflected resiliently in a direction toward the front region of the wiring board when engaging the plug connector. At least one clearance opening is formed in the wiring board at a location where the free end of a corresponding contact wire would otherwise contact an upper surface of the board when deflected by the plug connector. The clearance opening is dimensioned so that part of the free end of the contact wire deflects into the opening a certain distance from the upper surface of wiring board while the contact wire maintains sufficient resilient force to connect electrically with the corresponding terminal of the plug connector.

Communication jack connector construction for avoiding damage to contact wires

An electrical connector terminal has an elongated wire board mounting portion that fits axially in a terminal opening in a wiring board. An elongated, generally planar wire connecting portion has an axis in common with that of the mounting portion and is formed to connect with an outside lead. A shoulder portion between the mounting portion and the wire connecting portion has a first section extending from a base of the wire connecting portion and normally of the wire connecting portion, wherein the terminal is held stable when the first section is restrained by a part outside the plane of the wire connecting portion. A second section of the shoulder portion diverges from an end of the first section and extends parallel to the wire connecting portion. An end of the second section provides a desired coupling with a confronting end of a shoulder portion of a like connector terminal.

Electrical connector terminal construction

A communication connector assembly that incorporates crosstalk compensation. A number of compensation coupling contacts, e.g., conductive pads, stiff wires or plates, are mounted on a front edge region of a wire board that supports a number of terminal contact wires. Compensation elements associated with the wire board are connected to the contacts and are selected to produce, e.g., capacitive crosstalk compensation coupling. The terminal contact wires have connecting portions for contacting corresponding terminals of a mating connector along a line of contact. Free ends of the contact wires, ahead of the line of contact, are formed to deflect toward the wire board and to connect with the compensation coupling contacts on the board when engaged by the mating connector. The compensation coupling is therefore effective at the line of contact with the mating connector. In the disclosed embodiments, the assembly is incorporated in a modular jack connector.
