A broadcasting system for providing access information of a broadcast service, wherein a transmission apparatus generates the access information for at least one of a broadcast network and an interaction network, from which the broadcast service is transmitted, and transmits the access information to a terminal via a specific communication network. A reception apparatus receives the access information of the broadcast service via the communication network, analyzes the received access information to determine a network from which the broadcast service is provided, among the broadcast network and the interaction network, and sets an access address for reception of the broadcast service.

Method and apparatus for transmitting/receiving access information of broadcast service in a broadcasting system, and system thereof

A method and apparatus are provided for handing over from a Long Term Evolution (LTE) network to a Circuit Switching (CS) network by a call manager in a wireless communication system. The method includes receiving, from an Enhanced Node B (ENB) of the LTE network, a handover required message for a Packet Switching (PS) to CS handover from the LTE network to the CS network, when the PS to CS handover is decided based on measurement reports of a User Equipment (UE); sending, to a Mobile Switching Center (MSC) of the CS network, a PS to CS handover request message including an International mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) for identifying the UE and a target IDentifier (ID) for a target cell of the CS network; receiving a PS to CS handover response message from the MSC; and sending, to the UE via the ENB, a handover command message.

Handover apparatus and method in a heterogeneous wireless communication system

A method and apparatus for performing handover on a voice call between a packet network system and a circuit network system is provided. Considering a communication environment where a UE cannot simultaneously use radio resources of both the next generation mobile communication system (LTE) and the legacy mobile communication system (e.g., GSM/WCDMA), the present invention proposes an SCSE for performing signal translation between the packet switched network and the circuit switched network and anchoring a voice call in the application level, and supports a continuous voice call using the SCSE.

Apparatus and method for call handover between packet network system and circuit network system

Provided is a handover method, in which a call manager of a network having a Circuit Switching (CS) network, a Long Term Evolution (LTE) network, and an Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) network, provides handover, from the LTE network to the CS network, to a terminal that uses one radio channel. The handover method includes upon receiving a request for handover from the terminal via a node of the LTE network, establishing a line to a Mobile Switching Center (MSC) of the CS network; sending, to the call manager, a request for a change in a session to another party's terminal in communication with the terminal, to establish an Internet Protocol (IP) bearer between the call manager and the other party's terminal; and sending a handover command to the terminal during the establishment of an IP bearer, to establish a radio channel to the base station of the CS network.

Provided is a broadcasting system based on a network using an Internet protocol (IP). In the broadcasting system, a broadcast transmitter previously transmits first access information including a first network address for transmitting a general notification message and second access information associated with management of the broadcasting system, to a broadcast receiver. If a general notification event occurs, the general notification message is generated and the generated general notification message is transmitted to the broadcast receiver via one of a broadcast network and an interaction network using the first network address. The broadcast receiver receives a general notification message based on the first network address in data received from the broadcast transmitter.

Method and apparatus for providing notification message in a broadcasting system

A roaming service method in a mobile broadcasting system and a system thereof are provided. A terminal receives a service guide from a corresponding visited service provider (Visited SP) when the terminal moves to a roaming area. The terminal transmits a roaming request message for requesting a purchase item allowable for individual services to a home service provider (Home SP) based on the received service guide. Upon receipt of the roaming request message, the Home SP negotiates roaming availability and allowable scope for each individual service with the Visited SP where the terminal is located, based on the roaming request message. The Home SP transmits the roaming availability and allowable scope for the individual service, negotiated with the Visited SP, to the terminal.

Roaming service method in a mobile broadcasting system, and system thereof

A terminal apparatus is provided for receiving a broadcast service from a broadcasting system. A receiver receives a notification message from the broadcasting system. A message parser parses the notification message received by the receiver according to a certain format. A controller determines whether the received notification message is a notification message to be used by a user or a notification message to be used by the terminal based on content of the notification message parsed by the message parser, and performs an operation according to the determination result.

An apparatus for and method of estimating a one-way delay time between two hosts and an apparatus and method of clock synchronization using the same. The two hosts are connected to a network and communicate a predetermined packet; k-th, (k+1)-th, and (k+2)-th transmission times are measured at the first host, and k-th, and (k+1)-th transmission times are measured at the second host; a time difference of the m-th transmission time is measured at the first and second host, where m is k or k+1, and by using the measured transmission times, an m-th one-way delay time is calculated. If the time difference is identical to the calculated one-way delay time, a value equal to or less than the calculated one-way delay time is determined as the estimated one-way delay time. Accordingly, the estimation error of a one-way delay time is reduced for both symmetrically and asymmetrically connected hosts.

One-way delay time estimation method and apparatus and clock synchronization method and apparatus using the same

A congestion control method and system in a communication system that transmits and receives a data segment using Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) and performs a Fast Retransmit mode and a Fast Recovery mode upon occurrence of a lost segment. A transmission terminal retransmits the lost segment to a reception terminal and then calculates the expected number of duplicate acknowledgements (ACKs) expected to be received from the reception terminal. The transmission terminal determines whether an ACK recently received from the reception terminal is identical to a new ACK or a duplicate ACK. The transmission terminal accumulates the received duplicate ACK, and compares the number of the accumulated duplicate ACKs with the expected number of the duplicate ACKs. The transmission terminal retransmits the lost segment to the reception terminal if the number of the accumulated duplicate ACKs is larger than the expected number of the duplicate ACKs.
