Provided herein is a computing system for optimizing a waveform, in communication with an implantable pulse generator, and including a computing device including a memory device and a processor communicatively coupled to the memory device. The processor is configured to: retrieve historical waveform data associated with a plurality of waveforms used in therapeutic sessions for a plurality of patients, the historical waveform data including a plurality of waveform parameters; analyzing the historical waveform data to determine preferred waveform parameters; determining that a patient is starting a new therapeutic session using the patient therapeutic device; displaying each of the preferred waveform parameters; prompting the user to accept or modify the displayed waveform parameters; optimizing the waveform parameters for the therapeutic session; and transmitting the optimized waveform parameters to the patient therapeutic device to start the therapeutic session.

Systems and methods for optimized waveform generation

An electronic device includes a display and an image capture device electronically capturing one or more images of a subject performing an activity. A wireless communication device can electronically transmit the one or more images to a remote electronic device across a network after a Procrustes superimposition operation is performed to compare the subject to a standard. The wireless communication device can electronically receive one or more electronically altered images identifying differences between one or more standard reference locations situated at one or more predefined features of the standard performing the activity and one or more corresponding subject reference locations situated at one or more predefined features of the subject performing the activity. These electronically altered images can be presented on the display of the electronic device to provide corrective feedback to the subject as how to better perform the activity.

Methods and devices for electronically altering captured images

A scheme for securely transferring a patient data file to an intended recipient regardless of a transfer mode selected by a sender. Encryption system executing at the sender device is operative to encrypt each plaintext data line of a file, one by one, using a symmetric key and a starting IV that is incremented per each line, resulting in corresponding ciphertext lines added to an encrypted file. A hash is generated based on the encrypted file. An encrypted header containing the symmetric key, starting IV and the hash is generated using a public key of the recipient, which is appended to the encrypted file. The encrypted header and associated encrypted file are transmitted to the recipient in any manner. Upon receipt, the recipient decrypts the encrypted header using a private key to obtain the symmetric key, starting IV and the hash, which are used by the recipient to validate and decrypt the encrypted file on a line-by-line basis.

This document describes techniques () and apparatuses () for implementing sensor-based near-field communication (NFC) authentication. These techniques () and apparatuses () enable a computing device () to detect, in a low-power state, environmental variances indicating proximity with an NFC-enabled device () with which to authenticate. In some embodiments, various components of a computing device () in a sleep state are activated to process environmental variance(s), perform authentication operations, and/or an indicate initiation of authentication operations to a user.

In aspects of a wireless hand sensory apparatus for weight monitoring, a wearable article is worn by a user who moves items. A tracking system is implemented in the wearable article, and the tracking system includes a force sensor, or force sensors, in the wearable article to register a force on an item. The tracking system includes tracking logic that determines a weight of the item based on the force on the item. The tracking system may also include a motion sensor to sense motion of the wearable article, and the tracking logic determines how the item is moved based on the motion of the wearable article. The tracking logic can also determine the weight of the item based on the force on the item in combination with a speed of the motion of the wearable article.

An apparatus includes a first surface having an identification tag attached thereto and a second surface having an antenna attached thereto. The first surface engages the second surface to provide a seal for an article and to connect the antenna to the identification tag. A method for sealing an article includes providing a first surface having an identification tag attached thereto. A second surface having an antenna attached thereto is provided. The first surface is attached to the second surface to provide a seal for the article and to connect the antenna to the identification tag.

In some embodiments, a cleaning machine automatically identifies cleaning instructions associated with a load of textile articles, e.g., wearable and/or non-wearable textile articles, using an RFID reader. At least some of the wearable textile articles in the load include a respective RFID tag that provides information to the cleaning machine. In turn, the cleaning machine can configure various cleaning settings based upon the information. Some embodiments identify incompatibilities between the various cleaning settings, and provide a notification of this incompatibility. When the various cleaning settings are compatible, some embodiments automatically start a cleaning cycle.

Various embodiments provide dynamic display locations of virtual control buttons based upon detected movement of a computing device. A computing device displays a virtual control button at a first location, such as a location based upon a grip profile. At some point later, the computing device detects movement via a sensor included in the computing device. Upon detecting the movement, the computing device visually moves the virtual control button to at least a second location based upon the detected movement.

Various embodiments provide virtual control buttons on a computing device, such as a mobile device, e.g. a smart phone, to produce a computing. The computing device includes a housing component defined by a top edge, a bottom edge, a left edge and a right edge. A touchscreen display defines at least a front surface of the housing component and wraps around at least one edge of the housing component to define at least portions of the one edge. The computing device is configured to receive touch input corresponding to a user gripping the device on the at least one edge. A grip profile is identified and corresponds to placement of a user's digits on the at least one edge. Responsive to identifying the grip profile, at least one virtual control button is visually placed on the touchscreen display based, at least in part, on the grip profile.

In aspects of fingerprint authentication based on fingerprint imager orientation, a mobile device has a first housing moveably connected to a second housing in a device configuration that is one of a closed configuration in which the first housing and the second housing are rotated and folded together, or an open configuration in which the first housing and the second housing are rotated apart. The mobile device includes a fingerprint imager to capture a fingerprint image in either device configuration of the mobile device. The mobile device also includes an authentication module to determine an orientation of the fingerprint imager based on the device configuration, manipulate the captured fingerprint image to align with a reference fingerprint image, and authenticate the captured fingerprint image as manipulated to align with the reference fingerprint image for access to the mobile device.

Various embodiments provide activation of virtual control buttons through verbal commands. In some embodiments, a computing device receives audio input, and, upon receiving the audio input, analyzes the audio input to identify an input command. The analysis can sometimes include voice authentication associated with a user. Upon identifying the input command, the computing device visually displays a virtual control button on a touchscreen display. In some embodiments, the computing device displays the virtual control button at a location corresponding to a current grip in contact with the touchscreen display.

In implementations, a mobile device having a plurality of housings connected, one to another, using a flex structure that is bendable, is configured to determine spatial relationships between the housings. Sensors within the mobile device allow the mobile device to determine the spatial relationships as the mobile device is manipulated via the flex structure.

Systems, devices, and techniques for directional display and audio broadcast are described. It is determined whether a spoken query includes an individual query, a group query, and a display request. For an individual query, an audio response is broadcast in a directional manner towards the source of the spoken query. For a group query, an audio response is broadcast in more than one direction, such as towards directions of sources in an environment. For a display request, an image (e.g., picture, video, web page, and the like) is projected on a surface that is detected so the image is viewable by one or more users, such as the source of the spoken query.

An article of manufacture comprises a wearable, stretchable article comprising stretchable material. The wearable, stretchable article is selected from a group comprising: clothing, a hat, a headband, a wristband, socks, footwear, handwear, shorts, or an undergarment. At least one RFID tag is mounted on the wearable, stretchable article and includes a stretch-activated switch on the at least one RFID tag. The stretch-activated switch has a first mode and a second mode. The first mode is associated with a first RFID tag state and the second mode is associated with a second RFID tag state. The stretch-activated switch comprises a ground contact, an RFID enable contact and a contact to slidably engage the ground contact and the RFID enable contact to transition between the first RFID tag state and the second RFID tag state.
