A method of providing a route based on surveillance zones includes: generating a total surveillance zone by displaying surveillance zones of surveillance devices on a map; if a first user requests a route, generating a route on the map based on the total surveillance zone; if an event occurs while the first user travels along the route, acquiring a surveillance image from at least one of the surveillance devices corresponding to a location at which the event occurs; and providing the surveillance image to a second user.

Method and apparatus for providing route based on surveillance zones

Provided are a camera system and an image registration method for registering images taken by multiple cameras moving in the same manner. The image registration method includes: acquiring multiple sets of images of a reference subject, wherein each of the multiple sets of images comprises images taken by the multiple cameras facing a same direction and images of different sets are taken with the multiple cameras facing different directions; performing image registration using the multiple sets of images; and rendering a result image showing a result of the image registration.

An image matching method includes: extracting a plurality of feature points from a reference image; selecting a first feature point from the feature points, and selecting a first reference search area comprising the first feature point; setting a first matching candidate search area corresponding to the first reference search area from a target image, and extracting a plurality of feature points from the first matching candidate search area; selecting a second feature point closest to the first feature point in the first reference search area, and selecting a first straight line connecting the first and second feature points; generating a plurality of segments from the feature points extracted from the first matching candidate search area; and determining a first matching straight line matching a length and an angle of the first straight line, from the segments generated from the feature points extracted from the first matching candidate search area.

Image matching method using feature point matching

A method of sampling feature points, an image matching method using the same, and an image matching processor are disclosed. The method of sampling feature points for image matching includes: dividing a first image into a plurality of regions corresponding to a number of feature points to be sampled; extracting a sampled feature point from each of the regions such that a distance between a sampled feature point of one region and a sampled feature point of another region satisfies a predetermined condition; and estimating a homography on the basis of the extracted sampled feature points and corresponding sampled feature points of a second image to be matched with the first image.
