The input sensing layer includes a first sensing area, a non-sensing area, and a second sensing area defined between the non-sensing area and the first sensing area, the sensing controller includes a correction unit correcting an edge signal to generate a correction edge signal when the first sensing signal is the edge signal generated in the second sensing area, and the calculation unit calculates edge input information provided to the second sensing area as input information based on the correction edge signal.

An electronic device includes a display layer and a sensor layer on the display layer. The sensor layer includes an electrode and a cross electrode. The electrode includes a plurality of first portions spaced from each other in a first direction and a plurality of second portions between the plurality of first portions. The cross electrode includes a plurality of first cross portions spaced from each other in a second direction crossing the first direction and a plurality of second cross portions between the plurality of first cross portions. The second portion includes a first pattern portion extending in the first direction and a plurality of second pattern portions extending in the second direction. A first opening is in the plurality of first portions, a second opening is in the first pattern portion, and a size of the first opening is greater than a size of the second opening.

A display device includes: a display panel; an input sensor on the display panel; a panel driving circuit to drive the display panel, and to output a synchronization signal; and a sensor controller to control the input sensor. The sensor controller determines a sensing mode in response to the synchronization signal, and changes the sensing mode to a second sensing mode when the synchronization signal is activated in a first sensing mode.

Display device for changing a sensing mode and operating method thereof

A display device includes a display panel and an input sensor. The input sensor includes a first electrode and a second electrode crossing each other and a bridge pattern at a crossing area of the first electrode and the second electrode.
