Provided is an electronic device including: a battery, a resonant circuit including a coil and a capacitor configured to wirelessly receive power, a rectifying circuit configured to rectify an alternating current power provided from the resonant circuit to a direct current power, a DC/DC converter configured to convert the direct current power provided from the rectifying circuit and to output the converted direct current power, a charging circuit configured to charge the battery using the converted direct current power provided form the DC/DC converter, a controller, and a communication circuit, wherein the controller is configured to: control the charging circuit to set a magnitude of a reference current of the charging circuit to a first value, the first value being less than a maximum value of an output current of the charging circuit, control the charging circuit to set the magnitude of the reference current to a second value greater than the first value, measure a magnitude of an output current of the charging circuit after setting the magnitude of the reference current to the second value, control, based on a difference between the measured magnitude and the second value being less than or equal to a specified set value, the charging circuit to set the magnitude of the reference current to a third value greater than the second value, and control, based on the difference between the measured magnitude and the second value exceeding the specified set value, the charging circuit to set the magnitude of the reference current to the first value to receive wireless power.

An electronic device includes a plurality of loads, at least one processor, a plurality of regulators configured to adjust a voltage of power received from a power source and output the adjusted power, and a switching circuit configured to connect at least one of the plurality of regulators to at least one of the plurality of loads. The at least one processor is configured to identify a load to which power is to be supplied among the plurality of loads, select at least one regulator among the plurality of regulators connectable to the identified load, and control the switching circuit to connect the at least one selected regulator to the identified load.

The disclosure provides a variable wireless power transmitter including a plurality of resonators and a method of controlling the variable wireless power transmitter. A wireless power transmitter of the disclosure may include: a housing; a power amplifier disposed inside the housing; a first resonator including at least one coil and fixed to a first portion of the housing; a second resonator including at least one coil, rotatably disposed at a second portion of the housing, and configured to form a variable angle with the first resonator; a sensor configured to sense a shape change based on rotation of the second resonator; a controller configured to: identify a shape change of the first resonator and the second resonator based on a signal sensed by the sensor, identify whether impedance is matched for the first resonator or the second resonator based on the identification of the shape change, and generate a control signal for impedance matching for the first resonator or the second resonator based on identifying that the impedance is not matched; and a matching circuit including at least one coil and at least one capacitor, electrically coupled between the power amplifier and the first resonator, and configured to perform impedance matching based on the control signal received from the controller.

Variable wireless power transmitter including plural resonators and method of controlling the wireless power transmitter

An electronic device includes a power transmitter; a first communication interface configured to support an Ultra-Wideband (UWB) communication scheme; a second communication interface configured to support a Bluetooth communication scheme; and a processor configured to: control the first communication interface to transmit a first signal and receive a second signal corresponding to the first signal via the first communication interface, identify, based on a difference between a transmission time of the first signal and a reception time of the second signal, first location information of a first external device, control the power transmitter to transmit a first driving power having a first magnitude, based on a first distance between the first external device and the electronic device being within a first range, the first distance being identified based on the first location information, establish a Bluetooth communication connection with the first external device, based on receiving, via the second communication interface, a first packet transmitted from the first external device using the first driving power, after transmitting the first driving power, and control the power transmitter to transmit a first charging power having a second magnitude, after establishing the Bluetooth communication connection.
