A display device and a driving method thereof are disclosed. In a defective subpixel detection time for detecting a defective subpixel, a gate driving circuit may supply turn-on signals to a first-first gate line group included in a plurality of gate lines and supply turn-off signals to a first-second gate line group other than the first-first gate line group among the plurality of gate lines, thereby quickly detecting a defective subpixel.

According to embodiments of the present disclosure, there may be provided a display device and a driving method. During a first type sensing time period during display driving, a voltage difference between a first node and a second node of a driving transistor is set to correspond to a threshold voltage stored in a memory, whereby it is possible to compensate for, in real time period, threshold voltage variations of driving transistors.

A controller and a display device including the controller are discussed. The display device can perform a compensation based on a stress value for each sub-pixel and update a correction table used for compensation using a sensing value acquired at a preset period. As such, it is possible to improve the accuracy of real-time compensation. In addition, since it is possible to compensate for a sub-pixel for which a sensing value is not acquired using an indirect gain according to the ratio of the stress values of the sub-pixel to a sensing value, the accuracy of compensation can be improved even if sensing for each sub-pixel sharing a sensing line may not be easy.

Controller for generating compensation value and display device including the same

A light-emitting display includes a display panel, a first circuit, and a second circuit. The display panel comprises a pixel. The first circuit supplies a data voltage to a data line for the pixel. The second circuit performs a sensing operation for sensing a sensing line for the pixel and outputs a voltage required for the sensing operation, and outputs a noise removing voltage for cancelling out noise formed on the sensing line during the sensing operation.

Light-emitting display and method of driving the same

The sensing method for an organic light-emitting display comprises: defining a pixel group comprising a reference pixel and two or more valid pixels, among a plurality of pixels arranged on a horizontal line; obtaining a black level current sensing value by applying a black level data voltage to the reference pixel; obtaining a current sensing value for a given gray level by applying a data voltage for the given gray level higher than the black level to each of the valid pixels; and obtaining a pixel current sensing value by subtracting the black level current sensing value from the current sensing value for the given gray level to eliminate common noise.
