According to one aspect of the invention, a detection module for a display device, the detection module includes: a substrate; a detector disposed on the substrate to detect an external signal; a sensor driving circuit disposed on the substrate to drive the detector; and a light shielding layer to block an external light from entering the sensor driving circuit and to receive a light blocking voltage.

A detection module for a display device includes: a substrate; a detector disposed on the substrate to detect an external signal; a sensor driving circuit disposed on the substrate to drive the detector; and a light shielding layer to block an external light from entering the sensor driving circuit and to receive a light blocking voltage.

A display device includes a window on which a fingerprint detection region in which fingerprint information is detected is defined, an optical layer disposed below the window and in which at least one transmission hole overlapping the fingerprint detection region is defined, a protection layer disposed below the optical layer, and a sensor. A refractive index of the protection layer is greater than a refractive index of the window. A distance from the optical layer to the window is less than a distance from the optical layer to the sensor.

Display device

A display device includes a display panel, an input sensor, and a control unit. The display panel includes a light blocking layer that includes an opening. The input sensor includes a first sensing element, a second sensing element, and a third sensing element. The control unit calculates a first distance between the first sensing element and the second sensing element when the display panel is in a first state and the second sensing element overlaps the opening, calculates a second distance between the first sensing element and a third sensing element when the display device is in a second state that differs from that of the first state and the third sensing element overlaps the opening, and corrects an image obtained from the input sensor on the basis of the first distance and the second distance.

A display device includes a display panel, a fingerprint sensing part, and a cover panel. The fingerprint sensing part is covered by the display panel. The cover panel is covered by the display panel and includes a metal layer. The metal layer includes a first metal layer and a second metal layer. The first metal layer surrounds the fingerprint sensing part in a plan view. The second metal layer extends from the first metal layer and is disposed between the display panel and the fingerprint sensing part.
