A content providing apparatus may include a container capable of containing a consumable material, a sensor to measure an amount of a consumable material contained in the container, a content output control unit configured to control an output of a content to be provided based on the amount of the consumable material measured by the sensor, and a content output unit configured to output the content with the output controlled by the content output control unit. Also, a content providing method may include measuring an amount of a consumable material contained in a container, determining an output of a content to be provided based on the measured amount of the consumable material, and providing the content with the determined output.

Apparatus for providing contents and method for the same

Energy storage devices, servers, and methods for controlling the same are disclosed. The energy storage device can include at least one battery pack, a network interface configured to exchange data with a server, and a connector that receives alternating current (AC) power from an internal power network or outputs AC power to the internal power network. Energy storage device can also include a power converter configured to convert the AC power from the internal power network into direct current (DC) power based on the information about the power to store when information about power to store is received from the server, or, convert DC power stored in the battery pack into AC power based on the information about the power to output when information about power to output to the internal power network is received from the server. Accordingly, energy may be more efficiently stored.

Energy storage device, and server and method for controlling the same

The present invention relates to a photovoltaic module. A photovoltaic module according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises a solar cell module, a micro-inverter to convert DC power generated by the solar cell module into AC power, a controller to control the micro-inverter's operation, and an interface unit connected to power grid supplying external electrical power and to provide the AC power to the power grid, the controller to control operation of the micro-inverter such that the AC power is matched to the external electrical power flowing into the power grid. The photovoltaic module according to the present invention can provide electrical power generated at solar cell modules through a simple connection to power grid which supplies electrical power to home, reducing consumption of electrical power flowing into home.

Disclosed is an apparatus and method for selecting and providing media content on a social network service (SNS), and the apparatus includes a media content search unit configured to search, from a SNS server which contains media content composed of images or text, for media content related to a user accessing the SNS server, a media content processing unit configured to determine at least one piece of media content among the retrieved media content as candidate media content by analyzing an image, text, or metadata of the retrieved media content, and a service providing unit configured to provide the determined candidate media content to the user.

Apparatus for selecting and providing media content on social network service and method thereof

An energy storage device, a power management device, a mobile terminal, and a method for operating the same are discussed. The energy storage device includes a battery pack, a communication module to transmit power-on information or energy storage amount information to a power management device and to receive a charge command or discharge command from the power management device, a connector to receive AC power from the internal power network based on the charge command or to output AC power to the internal power network based on the discharge command, and a power converter to, when the charge command is received from the power management device, convert the AC power from the internal power network into DC power based on the charge command, or, when the discharge command is received from the power management device, convert DC power in the battery pack into AC power based on the discharge command.

Disclosed is an apparatus for collecting contents using social relation characters, which includes: an input unit for receiving search information from a main user; a database for storing SNS subscriber list of the main user and related users in relation to the main user and group information in relation to friendship in an SNS; and a content managing unit for searching contents in relation to the received search information by using the group information from contents possessed by the main user and the related users in an SNS server, defining the searched contents as a first content group, calculating a first interest index for each content included in the first content group based on additional information input by the related users, and determining a predetermined content, on which interest of the related users is focused, from the searched contents based on the calculated first interest index.
