A flexible display device can include a back cover supporting a rear surface of a display panel, a first plate disposed on the rear surface of the back cover, and a second plate disposed on the rear surface of the back cover, the first plate and the second plate being configured to support the rear surface of the back cover and to slide in a lateral direction, and a lever assembly rotatably coupled to a central portion of the rear surface of the back cover and connected to the first plate and the second plate. A rotation of the lever assembly can cause the back cover to bend by sliding the first plate and the second plate in the lateral direction.

A flexible display device including connection frames and hinge members, can include a display panel, a back cover supporting a rear surface of the display panel, a plurality of fixing sliders fixed on a rear surface of the back cover and arranged along a longitudinal direction, a central frame disposed at a center of the rear surface of the back cover and having first and second longitudinal ends, a pair of connection frames rotatably connected to the first and second longitudinal ends of the central frame and provided with slot holes through which respective fixing sliders among the plurality of fixing sliders are slidably supported, and a plurality of hinge members. A display apparatus comprises a display device including a display panel and a back cover on a rear surface of the display panel, and a curvature variation device at the back cover to vary a curvature of the display device, the curvature variation device may include an arc member at a rear region of the display device parallel to a first direction, a supporting plate at the rear region of the display device, a rotation driver on the supporting plate, a rectilinear driver on the supporting plate to perform a rectilinear motion, a rotation link part coupled to a center portion of the arc member on the supporting plate to rotate the center portion of the arc member based on a rectilinear motion of the rectilinear driver, and a holder part rotatably supporting the center portion of the arc member on the supporting plate.

Provided is a curvature variable display device including a back plate provided on a rear surface of a panel assembly, a first side bracket and a second side bracket respectively coupled to two sides of a rear surface of the back plate, a bending plate rotatably coupled to the first side bracket and the second side bracket, a stand post coupled to the bending plate and the stand base, a wire moving member built into the stand post to move the wire by driving a motor and change the curvature of the panel assembly and the back plate.

According to an aspect of the present disclosure, a display device includes a display panel, a back cover disposed on a back surface of the display panel and a plurality of curvature changing units which is disposed on a back surface of the back cover and implements curvature of the display panel, the back cover and each of the plurality of curvature changing units includes a pair of curvature implementation bars coupled to the back cover and a distance controller controlling a distance between the pair of curvature implementation bars, and each of the pair of curvature implementation bars includes a fixed coupling unit disposed on an outermost side of the curvature implementation bar and coupled to the back cover at a fixed location; and a plurality of variable coupling units disposed on an inner side of the fixed coupling unit and coupled to the back cover at variable locations.

Display device

A display device realizes a variety of curvatures as demanded by consumers without the provision of a curvature-changing device. The display device in one example includes a display panel, a back cover disposed on a rear surface of the display panel, and top cases coupled to the display panel and the back cover. The top cases are curved to impart a predetermined curvature to the display panel and the back cover.
