A dryer appliance and sensor assembly are provided. The sensor assembly may include a sensor housing, an appliance sensor, a wireless transmission tag, and a generator. A magnet rail is statically affixed to a cabinet. The sensor housing may extend within a drum and define a compartment proximate a space for the receipt of clothes. The generator is positioned within the compartment. The drum positions the generator in operable communication with the magnet rail. The appliance sensor may be positioned on the sensor housing. The wireless transmission tag may be positioned within the compartment. The wireless transmission tag may be in communication with the appliance sensor. The wireless tag reader may be in operable communication with the wireless transmission tag.

An air conditioner unit may include a housing, an outdoor heat exchanger assembly, an indoor heat exchanger assembly, a compressor, a sterilization light assembly, and a flow sensor. The housing may define an indoor portion and an outdoor portion. The housing may further define an exhaust outlet downstream from the indoor portion to exhaust air therefrom. The sterilization light assembly may be disposed within the indoor portion to transmit an ultraviolet light emission thereto. The flow sensor may be disposed within the indoor portion upstream from the exhaust outlet. The flow sensor may be operably coupled to the sterilization light assembly and configured to activation of sterilization light assembly in response to detecting a predetermined airflow within the indoor portion.

A bolt assembly is configured for securing the wash tub within the cabinet when the bolt assembly is in an installed position, the bolt assembly including a spacer assembly that spaces apart the wash tub from the cabinet and the cabinet from the shipping box and that includes a retention flange to prevent the spacer assembly from falling into the shipping box. A shipping bolt includes a threaded shaft that passes through the spacer assembly to secure the spacer assembly to the wash tub and a bolt head that is seated against a shoulder of the spacer assembly in the installed position.

The one-way filter may include a lower layer and an upper layer. The lower layer may include a plurality of parallel conductive bands extending in a first direction. The upper layer may be disposed above the lower layer. The upper layer may include a plurality of parallel conductive bands extending in the second direction.

One example method of operating a near field communication (NFC) tag includes determining whether a rotatable drum of a clothes dryer appliance is currently rotating. The NFC tag is secured to the drum. The method includes operating the NFC tag in an ultra-low power mode when it is determined that the drum is not currently rotating. The method includes periodically switching the NFC tag between a normal mode and a low power mode when it is determined that the drum is currently rotating.
