A method of determining a vehicle driving pattern includes: acquiring current driving information to determine the vehicle driving pattern of a driver while a vehicle is driven; determining the vehicle driving pattern of a driving condition with which the acquired current driving information is satisfied from a plurality of vehicle driving patterns divided based on the driving condition; determining whether the determined vehicle driving pattern satisfies an entry condition of an aggressive driving pattern based on a driving load of the vehicle and a value of an accelerator pedal sensor according to a driver's operation of an accelerator pedal, while the acquired current driving information satisfies the driving condition of the determined vehicle driving pattern; and determining that the current vehicle driving pattern is the aggressive driving pattern when the entry condition of the aggressive driving pattern is satisfied.

Method of determining vehicle driving pattern

A method for determining a heating load of a hybrid electric vehicle includes determining an SOC of a high-voltage battery through a controller, determining whether or not there is a heating request, based on a travel pattern input, through the controller when the SOC of the high-voltage battery is normal, calculating a required heating load according to the travel pattern input when there is the heating request, calculating an environmental condition according to an environment of the vehicle when there is the heating request, calculating a final heating load value through a combination of the calculated required heating load and the environmental condition of the vehicle, and adjusting a basic request engine torque according to the travel pattern input, taking into consideration the calculated final heating load value, and controlling driving of an engine based on the adjusted basic request engine torque.

Method for determining heating load of hybrid electric vehicle

A method for controlling a hybrid vehicle having a motor and an engine includes: calculating a first startup reference value of the engine on the basis of requested power of the hybrid vehicle; measuring a current speed of the hybrid vehicle, and predicting a future speed of the hybrid vehicle; generating a compensation value needed to compensate for the first startup reference value of the engine on the basis of a difference between the current speed and the future speed of the hybrid vehicle; acquiring a second startup reference value of the engine by compensating for the first startup reference value on the basis of the compensation value; and controlling a startup operation of the engine according to the second startup reference value acquired through compensation.
