An ultrasound diagnosis apparatus and method enabling general users to easily acquire ultrasound images even when the users are unskilled at using ultrasound diagnosis apparatuses, and a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having the ultrasound diagnosis method recorded thereon are provided. The ultrasound diagnosis apparatus includes a probe configured to acquire ultrasound data of an object; an image generation unit configured to generate an ultrasound image of the object by using the ultrasound data; a probe location acquisition unit configured to acquire a location of the probe on the object; a display unit configured to display the location of the probe and a reference location on an image representing the object; and a control unit configured to determine whether the location of the probe corresponds to the reference location.

An apparatus of a Harmonic Rejection Mixer (HRM) for removing a harmonic component and an operating method thereof are provided. The HRM includes a Local Oscillator (LO), at least one frequency converter, at least two mixers, at least one phase converter, and a combiner. The LO generates an LO signal. The at least one frequency converter multiplies the LO signal using different variables to provide the same to at least two mixers. The at least two mixers convert a frequency band of an input signal using the LO signal provided from the LO and the at least one frequency converter. The at least one phase converter controls a phase of an output signal of at least one other mixer excluding one of the at least two mixers. The combiner combines an output signal of the one mixer with an output signal of the at least one phase converter.

Device and method for removing harmonic components

A broadband low noise amplifier and amplification method is provided. The broadband low noise amplifier includes an input terminal into which a radio frequency (RF) signal received by an antenna is input, an output terminal from which an amplified RF signal is output, at least one gain control part connected in parallel with loads of the output terminal to adjust the gain of the amplified RF signal, and at least one load tuning part that resonates with loads of the output terminal to adjust the resonance frequency of the load impedance. The method includes amplifying the input RF signal and outputting the amplified RF signal to an output terminal, where a gain of the amplified RF signal is adjusted by switching operations of at least one switching device connected in parallel with a load of the output terminal.

Broadband low noise amplifier and RF signal amplification method of the same

A variable gain amplifier (VGA) having stable input impedance matching and a stable noise figure in spite of a variation of an amplification gain is provided. In an embodiment of the VGA, a first stage of a cascode amplification unit has a fixed impedance regardless of a change of an amplification gain, and a variable gain determination unit comprised of a plurality of transistors is formed at an upper stage in the cascode amplification unit. Accordingly, a change of an input impedance of the cascode amplification unit due to the change of the amplification gain is minimized. In another embodiment of the VGA, an amplification gain of an amplification unit is controlled by adjusting a voltage applied to the amplification unit by controlling a current to be output by a current supply source, and stable input impedance matching and a stable noise figure are obtained.
