Systems and methods of path-based mapping and routing are provided. Translation information and absolute information of mobile objects in environments are determined based on a fusion of sensing data from a radar and an inertial measurement unit (IMU) including a gyroscope and an accelerometer, from which path-based maps and optimal routes can be generated.

Methods and systems for path-based mapping and routing

Differential thermoelectric devices are provided for monitoring a change of areal thermal energy dissipation rate and surface temperature profile. The devices include a through electrode connecting to different sets of thermoelectric elements at different regions of the device. A sensing circuitry is electrically connected to the thermoelectric elements to measure a voltage output.

Systems and methods for monitoring the status of air filters are provided. One or more thermoelectric sensors are provided to have an upstream sensing surface positioned adjacent the inlet surface of the air filter, and a downstream sensing surface positioned adjacent the outlet surface of the air filter. Sensing circuitry are connected to the thermoelectric sensors, configured to receive signals from the thermoelectric sensors and process the signals to obtain status information of the air filter.

Air filtration monitoring based on thermoelectric devices

Electronic devices including a layer of polymeric material and solid semiconductor dies partially embedded in the layer are provided. The dies have first ends projecting away from the first major surface of the layer. The electronic devices can be formed by sinking the first ends of the dies into a major surface of a liner. A flowable polymeric material is filled into the space between the dies and solidified to form the layer of polymeric material. The first ends of the dies are exposed by delaminating the liner from the first ends of the dies. Electrical conductors are provided on the layer to connect the first ends of the dies.
