A coil component includes a body having one surface and the other surface, opposing each other in one direction, and one end surface connecting the one surface and the other surface to each other, a support substrate embedded in the body, a coil portion disposed on the support substrate and including a lead-out pattern exposed from the one end surface, a first insulating layer disposed on the one end surface and having one region and the other regions spaced apart from each other in the other direction crossing the one direction, an external electrode having a connection portion, disposed between the one region and the other region to be connected to the lead-out pattern, and an extension portion extending from the connection portion to the one surface, and a second insulating layer disposed on the one end surface to cover the first insulating layer and the connection portion.

Coil component

A coil component includes a body having one surface and the other surface, opposing each other in one direction, and one end surface connecting the one surface and the other surface, a winding coil disposed in the body and having a lead-out portion exposed to the one end surface of the body, a first insulating layer disposed on the one end surface of the body and having one region and the other region spaced apart from each other in the other direction, perpendicular to the one direction, an external electrode having a connection portion, disposed between the one region and the other region of the first insulating layer to be connected to the lead-out portion, and an extension portion extending from the connection portion to the one surface of the body, and a second insulating layer covering the first insulating layer and the connection portion on the one end surface of the body.

A coil component includes a support substrate; a coil portion disposed on the support substrate; a body embedding the support substrate and the coil portion therein, and having a first surface and a second surface opposing each other, a third surface and a fourth surface opposing each other and respectively connecting the first and second surfaces; lead-out portions extending from the coil portion and respectively exposed from the third and fourth surfaces of the body; a surface-insulating layer disposed on the third and fourth surfaces of the body and having openings respectively exposing the lead-out portions; and external electrodes arranged on the surface-insulating layer and respectively connected to the lead-out portions respectively exposed through the openings, wherein a width of each of the external electrodes is narrower than a width of the body.

A coil component is provided. The coil component includes a body having one surface and the other surface, opposing each other, and a wall surface connecting the one surface and the other surface, a coil portion embedded in the body and having an end exposed to the wall surface of the body, an external electrode including a connecting portion disposed on the wall surface of the body and connected to the end of the coil portion, and an extension extending from the connecting portion onto the one surface of the body, a first insulating layer covering the other surface of the body, and an identification portion passing through the first insulating layer and including the same material as a material of the external electrode.

A coil component includes a body, a coil portion embedded in the body, first and second external electrodes spaced apart from each other on an external surface of the body and connected to the coil portion, and an identification portion in which a plurality of fine patterns spaced apart from one another are grouped and which is disposed on the external surface of the body. Each of the plurality of fine patterns includes an insulating resin.

An electronic component includes a body having an internal electrode disposed therein, and an external electrode disposed on the body and connected to the internal electrode, wherein in a cross section of the body cut in length and thickness directions, the external electrode includes a first electrode layer disposed below the body and a second electrode layer covering at least the first electrode layer and a side portion of the body, and the internal electrode is connected to the second electrode layer through the side portion of the body.

Electronic component

An electronic component includes: a body including a coil part disposed therein and containing magnetic metal particles; and a surface protection layer disposed on a surface of the body. The magnetic metal particles comprise two or more kinds of particles having different particle sizes from each other, a portion of the magnetic metal particles are exposed to the surface of the body, and uneven regions are formed on the regions of the surfaces of the magnetic metal particles exposed to the surface of the body, and the surface protection layer is in contact with the uneven regions.

An electronic component includes a body having a bottom surface provided as a mounting surface, a top surface opposing the bottom surface, first and second side surfaces opposing each other in a width direction, and third and fourth end surfaces opposing each other in a length direction, a conductor part disposed therein, first and second external electrodes spaced apart from each other on the bottom surface of the body and connected to the conductor part, and a first insulating coating layer on the top surface of the body and a second insulating coating layer on the bottom surface of the body.

Electronic component and board having the same

A multilayer ceramic electronic component includes a ceramic body having a stacked plurality of dielectric layers and first and second end portions and a plurality of lateral surfaces. A plurality of internal electrodes stacked in the ceramic body face each other with respective dielectric layers interposed therebetween and exposed to first and second lateral surfaces of the ceramic body opposing each other through respective lead portions thereof. At least two first external electrodes and at least two second external electrodes are provided on the first and second lateral surfaces to be connected to the respective lead portions, respectively. An insulation layer is provided on the first and second lateral surfaces of the ceramic body except for the first and second external electrodes.

Multilayer ceramic electronic component and method of manufacturing the same

There is provided a multilayer type inductor, including: an inductor main body; a coil part having conductive circuits and conductive vias formed in the inductor main body; and external electrodes formed on both ends of the inductor main body, wherein in the inductor main body, at least parts around the conductive circuits and the conductive vias are formed of a ferrite material or a non-magnetic material.

Multilayer type inductor and method of manufacturing the same

The chip-type coil component includes: a body; conductive patterns connected to each other so as to have a coil structure; and external electrodes formed on the bottom surface and the two surfaces in the length direction; wherein a height of the external electrodes in a thickness direction of the body is greater than a height from the bottom surface to a farthest conductive pattern therefrom among the conductive patterns and is less than a height from the bottom surface of the body to the top surface thereof. According to embodiments of the present invention, even in a case in which a chip-type coil component set contacts a metal can, interference such as short-circuits does not occur, and as a result, a chip-type coil component having excellent reliability can be acquired.

Chip-type coil component

There is provided a chip-type coil component, including: a body formed by laminating a plurality of magnetic layers, and having a lower surface provided as a mounting area, an upper surface corresponding thereto, two end surfaces, and two lateral surfaces; conductor patterns formed on the magnetic layers, respectively, and connected to each other to have a coil structure; and external electrodes formed on at least one external surface of the body, and electrically connected to the conductor patterns, the external electrodes each being formed on the lower surface and spaced apart from edges thereof. Short circuits between electronic components may be prevented and sticking strength between the chip-type coil component and a substrate may be increased.
