The present invention provides a text-to-speech conversion system (TTS) forinterlockingsynchronizingwith multimedia and a method for organizing input data of the TTS which can enhance thenaturalnaturalnessof synthesized speech and accomplish the synchronization of multimedia with TTS by defining additional prosody information, the information required tointerlocksynchronizeTTS with multimedia, and interface betweenthesethisinformation and TTS for use in the production of the synthesized speech.

Text-to speech conversion system for synchronizing between synthesized speech and a moving picture in a multimedia environment and a method of the same

A method of formatting and normalizing continuous lip motions to events in a moving picture besides text in a Text-To-Speech converter is provided. A synthesized speech is synchronized with a moving picture by using the method wherein the real speech data and the shape of a lip in the moving picture are analyzed, and information on the estimated lip shape and text information are directly used in generating the synthesized speech.

A method of controlling an upstream optical wavelength of an ONT in WDM-PON system, the method comprises: determining upstream optical wavelength information of the ONT corresponding to a downstream optical wavelength predetermined to the ONT newly installed by being connected to a network; in an OLT, loading the determined upstream optical wavelength information onto the downstream optical wavelength assigned to the ONT and transmitting the loaded upstream optical wavelength information to the ONT; in the ONT, generating an upstream optical wavelength based on the upstream optical wavelength information transmitted by being loaded on the downstream optical wavelength from the OLT; and in the ONT, loading upstream data onto the generated upstream optical wavelength and transmitting the loaded upstream data to the OLT.

A phoneme dividing method using a multilevel neural network applied to a phoneme dividing apparatus having a voice input portion, a preprocessor, a multi-layer perceptron (MLP) phoneme dividing portion, and a phoneme border outputting portion includes the steps of: (a) sequentially segmenting and framing voice with digitalized voice samples, extracting characteristic vectors by vocal frames, and extracting an inter-frame characteristic vector of the difference between nearby frames of the characteristic vectors by frames, to thereby normalize the maximum and minimum of the characteristics; (b) storing information on the weight obtained through learning and the standard of the MLP; and (c) reading the weight obtained in the step (b), receiving the characteristic vectors, performing an operation of phoneme border discrimination to generate an output value, discriminating the phoneme border according to the output value, and if the current analyzed frame arrives two frames preceding the final frame of incoming voice, outputting a frame number indicative of the border of phoneme as a final result.
