A controlling method of an air conditioning system includes an information collecting step configured to collect the state information or the operation information of the outdoor unit or the indoor unit in a preset period by using the gateway, an information transferring step configured to selectively transfer the information collected in the information collecting step to the data collecting server in a preset period, an information storing step configured to transfer the operation information or the state information of the outdoor unit or the indoor unit out of the information transferred in the information transferring step to the data storage server and to store the transferred information in a preset period; and an information outputting step configured to output the state information or the operation information of the outdoor unit or the indoor unit transferred in the information transferring step to the output unit at predetermined intervals shorter than the preset period using the data collection server, when there is information transfer requirement.

A central control system controls peak power of multiple air conditioners that includes indoor units installed in rooms of a building and an outdoor unit for controlling refrigerant circulation. The central controller performs peak power control if current power consumption of the air conditioners, calculated based on operating states thereof, exceeds a previously input reference management power value. A telephone control module is contained in each of the home appliances to detect ringing signals received over a telephone line. An air conditioner control system and method that uses a telephone network is provided. A remote electronic device is connected to a plurality of air conditioners through the telephone network to input a control command to each of the air conditioners. A control program is run in the remote electronic device to register profile information for the air conditioners. The air conditioners are configured to transmit and receive signals over there telephone network. The remote electronic device is configured to input control commands to some or all of the air conditioners on the basis of the registered profile information. A control command input by a remote user is automatically transmitted to a corresponding one of the air conditioners with reference to the registered profile information of the corresponding air conditioner.

Air conditioner control system using a telephone network and method for operating the same

An air conditioner control system and method uses a PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network). The system allows a remote control operator to control a plurality of air conditioners through the PSTN by providing receiving modules connected to the air conditioners which have unique IDs assigned thereto and which all use same telephone line. In an electronic device, a control program is driven to control and monitor the air conditioners. A transmitting module connected to the electronic device converts and codes a control command signal into a DTMF (Dual Tone Multi-Frequency) signal, and transmits the DTMF signal through the PSTN to a receiving module connected to a corresponding air conditioner, so that the air conditioner can be remotely controlled.
