Provided is a mobile tri-band antenna system having low profile. The antenna system includes a tri-band feeding unit for dividing a satellite broadcasting signal by a signal channel in an azimuth angle and an elevation angle, and transmitting/receiving the satellite communication signal through distinguishing the satellite communication signal; a beam shaping unit for dividing the satellite broadcasting signals into a first channel signal and a second channel signal, combined power thereof through channel switching; an antenna controlling unit for driving an antenna system in an azimuth and elevation angle to direct the satellite according to the power combined second channel signal from the beam shaping unit; a first triplexer unit for outputting the power combined first channel signal to a rotary joint unit; a second triplexer unit for converting the first channel signal inputted to a downlink frequency and providing the converted first channel signal to the indoor apparatus.

Low profile mobile tri-band antenna system

Provided is an antenna system for tracking a satellite which includes a fixed body and a rotating body. The antenna system includes a transmitting/receiving unit having a transmitting channel and a receiving channel for signal power, a driving unit for enabling mechanical motion of the rotating body for satellite tracking, and a control unit for monitoring and controlling the operation of the driving unit. Accordingly, the various kinds of the components of the antenna system mounted and operated on the movable body can be minimized and the output of the transmitted signal required in the antenna system can be simply replaced, thereby simplifying the configuration of the system and reducing the production cost of the system. In addition, the STR having the tracking signal processing function in the digital mode as well as the general analog mode is mounted on the antenna system, thereby improving accuracy of satellite tracking. Moreover, the posture of the antenna system can be stably maintained regardless of the motion of the movable body in the moving environment by using the driving unit and the control unit which are designed for stably controlling the elevation, azimuth and antenna rotating angle, thereby improving communication performance that is the intrinsic object of the antenna system.

Antenna system for tracking satellite

Provided are Circular Polarized Helical Radiation element and its Array Antenna operable in TX band and RX band. The circular polarized helical radiation element and its array antenna and the antenna with double reflection boards using that array can operate at TX/RX dual band which is high frequency such as Ka band by operating the helical antenna in axial mode and implementing dual feeding structure. The array antenna having a number of radiation elements operable in the both of TX band and RX band, wherein the radiation elements are arrayed on predetermined column lines, each radiation element comprising: a helix for radiating orthogonal circular polarized waves in the different frequency bands wherein the helix is fed at its beginning point and its terminating point; and a wave guide for accommodating the helix.

Circular polarized helical radiation element and its array antenna operable in TX/RX band

Provided is an apparatus and method for estimating sensor signals to stabilize a posture of a mobile satellite tracking antenna. The apparatus includes: an angular velocity estimating unit for estimating an angular velocity signal by removing an error signal generated from an input angular velocity sensor signal through a first low frequency band filtering operation; and an inclination angle estimating unit for estimating an inclination angle signal by receiving an inclination angle sensor signal, extracting low frequency component of inclination angle signal through performing a second low frequency band filtering operating on the received inclination angle sensor signal, obtaining an inclination angle integrating signal through integrating the estimated angular velocity signal, extracting high frequency component of inclination angle signal through performing a high frequency band filtering operation on the inclination angle integrating signal, and adding the extracted low frequency component and high frequency component of inclination angle signal.

Sensor signal estimator and motor controller for stabilization of tracking antenna

Provided is a conical scanning antenna system using a nutation method. The conical scanning antenna system includes: a main reflecting unit; a sub-reflecting unit which is disposed apart from the main reflecting unit by a predetermined distance and performing a conical scanning tracking by using the nutation method; and a feeding horn which doubly reflects electromagnetic wave inputted and radiated by the main reflecting unit and the sub-reflecting unit and inputs and outputs the electromagnetic wave by electrically steering beams.

Provided are a pedestal apparatus and a satellite-tracking antenna having the same. The pedestal apparatus includes: a fixing unit fixed at a moving object; a connecter for forming a first rotating axis vertically to the fixing unit; a first rotation supporter having a bottom fixed at the fixing unit and a Y-shaped top for rotating the tracking antenna around the first rotating axis; a second connecter connected to ends of the Y-shaped top for forming a second rotating axis; a second rotation supporter having both ends connected to the both ends of the second connecter for rotating the tracking antenna around the second rotating axis; a third connecter for forming a third rotating axis at a center of the second rotation supporter; and a supporter connected to the third connecter in a predetermined shape for supporting the tracking antenna, wherein the first, second and third rotating axes are not crossed one another.

Pedestal apparatus and satellite tracking antenna having the same

A hybrid antenna system for providing a communication service or/and a satellite broadcasting receiving service by coarsely tracking a target satellite in a mechanical fashion and finely tracking the target satellite in an electrical fashion is disclosed. The hybrid antenna system includes: a rotatory unit for tracking a satellite direction using a mechanical movement including a rotating motion and an electron beam tracking function and transmitting/receiving a multi-band frequency from a satellite through a free space; a stationary unit for communicating to an external terminal and/or transmitting and receiving a broadcasting signal from/to the external terminal; and a stabilizing unit for connecting the rotatory unit to the stationary unit, and driving and controlling the rotatory unit in mechanical fashion and electrical fashion.

Hybrid antenna system

A triple-band offset hybrid antenna having a shaped reflector is disclosed. The triple-band offset hybrid antenna includes: a shaped reflector reflecting a K/Ku bands RF signals received from a satellite to focus an energy of the K/Ku band RF signals on a focal line and reflecting a Ka band RF transmitting signal; and a triple-band active phased feed array receiving the reflected K/Ku bands RF signals from the shaped reflector and radiating the Ka band RF transmitting signal to the shaped reflector, wherein the triple-active feed array including Ka/K bands feed array for transceiving Ka/K bands RF signal and a Ku band feed array for receiving a Ku band RF signal.

A microstrip patch antenna having high gain and wide band is disclosed. The microstrip patch antenna includes: a first patch antenna layer for radiating a energy supplied from transmitting/receiving feeding circuit and a first radiation patch electrically coupled to the first dielectric layer and supplying the energy to a receiving feeding circuit electrically coupled with the first radiation patch, wherein the energy is supplied by electromagnetic coupling of a first parasitic patch and second parasitic patch; a second patch antenna layer for improving impedance bandwidth of energy received through the first parasitic patch arranged in between the second dielectric layer and the third dielectric layer and radiating the improved impedance bandwidth; and a third patch antenna layer for improving a gain of the energy received through the second parasitic patch arraigned in between the fourth dielectric layer and the fifth dielectric layer.

A Ka-band offset hybrid antenna having a shaped focuser is disclosed. The Ka-band offset hybrid antenna having a shaped focuser, including: a shaped focuser for reflecting a received plane wave to focus an energy of the received plane wave on an offset focal line and reflecting a transmitting signal; and an active feed array module for receiving the reflected received plane wave from the shaped focuser and radiating the transmitting signal to the shaped focuser antenna, wherein the active feed array module including a feed horn array antenna having a plurality of single horns and an active channel block (ACB) having multi-active channels for changing a direction angle of transceiving beam.

Offset hybrid antenna using focuser

Provided is an antenna system for satellite communication and a method for tracking satellite signals using the same, in which moving vehicles or vessels can perform a satellite multimedia communication. The method for tracking a satellite signal using the antenna system includes the steps of: a) setting a satellite signal reception environment by performing an electronic tracking in the elevation direction through an electronic beam steering control and performing a mechanical tracking for driving a rotating element in an azimuth direction; and b) stopping a drive of the rotating element in the azimuth direction, and setting a satellite signal transmission environment by using the satellite signal reception environment. According to the present invention, since both one-dimensional phase array control of the elevation and azimuth and one-dimensional mechanical control are used, it is possible to provide the economical and effective system compared with two-dimensional phase array antenna.
