Disclosed is a non-aqueous electrolyte for a lithium secondary battery and a lithium secondary battery comprising the same. The non-aqueous electrolyte including an ionizable lithium salt and an organic solvent may further include (a) 1 to 10 parts by weight of a compound having a vinylene group or vinyl group per 100 parts by weight of the non-aqueous electrolyte, and (b) 10 to 300 parts by weight of a dinitrile compound having an ether bond per 100 parts by weight of the compound having the vinylene group or vinyl group. The lithium secondary battery comprising the non-aqueous electrolyte may effectively suppress the swelling and improve the charge/discharge cycle life.

Disclosed is an electrolyte comprising (a) a eutectic mixture of an amide compound represented by the following chemical formula 1 or 2 and an ionizable lithium salt; and (b) a nitrile compound. The eutectic mixture and the nitrile compound in the electrolyte contribute to excellent thermal and chemical stability and sufficiently low viscosity and high ion conductivity. The electrolyte can be usefully applied as an electrolyte of electrochemical devices.

Disclosed is a method for preparing a dinitrile compound. The method includes reacting an alcohol compound with a nitrile compound having a terminal carbon-carbon unsaturated bond under anhydrous conditions. A potassium alkoxide having 1 to 5 carbon atoms is used as a catalyst in the course of the reaction. According to the method, a high-purity dinitrile compound can be prepared in a simple manner within a short reaction time indicating high productivity.

A lithium secondary battery including the non-aqueous electrolyte solution is also disclosed. The lithium secondary battery is protected from catching fire when overcharged and is prevented from swelling during storage at high temperature.

The amide compound has a specific structure in which an amine group is substituted with at least one alkoxyalkyl group and at least one halogen atom is present. In addition, the electrolyte has a high upper limit of electrochemical window due to its improved oxidation stability. The present invention relates to a metallocene compound having a functional group that facilitates the preparation of the supported metallocene catalyst for olefin polymerization and the olefin polymerization process using the same. The metallocene compounds in this invention are strongly supported on the inorganic support due to the strong chemical bond of the ligand of the metallocene compound with the silica surface, which leads to minimize leaching of the catalyst during the activation process. Therefore, the supported catalyst of this invention allows the olefin polymerization process to proceed without any fouling in the reactor with a slurry or a gas phase process, and the morphology and bulk density of the polymer produced are much better defined than those produced by conventional methods.

The present invention relates to a process for manufacturing polyolefin polymerization catalysts and provides a process for manufacturing polyolefin polymerization catalysts, wherein after manufacturing a homogeneous solution of magnesium compounds using magnesium compounds and alcohols along with hydrocarbon solvents and contacting with titanium compounds by adding organic aluminum, the mixture is treated again with organic aluminum or alcohols having 5 or less carbon atoms, then contacted with titanium compounds. Polyolefin polymerization catalysts prepared by the preparation process of the present invention have superior polyolefin polymerization activities, they prepare polymers having high Melt Flow Ratios, and produce a lesser amount of fine particle polymers.
