A refrigerator includes a compressor to compress refrigerant, a condenser to liquefy the refrigerant supplied from the compressor, a capillary tube to decompress and expand the refrigerant supplied from the condenser, an evaporator to vaporize the refrigerant supplied from the capillary tube, a shutoff valve installed at an inlet of the capillary tube so as to prevent the refrigerant in the condenser during stoppage of the compressor from being moved to the evaporator, and a control unit to enable the shutoff valve to be blocked together so as to prevent movement of the refrigerant from the condenser to the evaporator during stoppage of the compressor, and to enable the shutoff valve to be opened together so as to move the refrigerant from the condenser to the evaporator during starting of the compressor.

Refrigerator

A refrigerator including a main body provided with storage chambers, doors to open and close the storage chambers, upper hinge modules to enable one side of the upper end of each door to be rotatably installed on the main body. Main body hinge receipt parts are depressed on the upper surface of the main body to embed rear ends of the upper hinge modules in the upper surface of the main body and door hinge receipt parts are depressed on the rear surfaces of the doors to receive front ends of the upper hinge modules, and thus the main body is located at a height corresponding to the height of the doors, thereby allowing the main body provided with the storage chambers having a wider volume to be used in the refrigerator having a designated height.

Disclosed herein is a refrigerator including a main body provided with storage chambers, doors to open and close the storage chambers, and lower hinge modules to enable one side of the lower end of each door to be rotatably installed on the main body. The main body includes a main frame integrally forming a lower surface and both side surfaces of the main body and the rear ends of the lower hinge modules are installed on the outer lower surface of the main frame, and thus the thickness of the lower end of the main body is minimized, thereby maximizing the storage capacity of the main body having a designated height as far as a heat insulating ability is not lowered.

A refrigerator including a main body provided with storage chambers, doors to open and close the storage chambers, and first door side frames, each of which forms one side surface of each door. Each door includes a handle groove stepped so as to be opened forward and sideward and provided on each first door side frame and a handle extended so as to cover the handle groove, and the handle is disposed so as to be substantially parallel with a front surface of each door, thereby providing unity to designs of the handle and the door.

A refrigerator includes a refrigerator body, a door to open and close the front of the refrigerator body, and a door handle provided at one side of the door. The door handle includes a handle unit having a grip part to allow a user to grip the door handle, an actuating rod fixed inside the handle unit such that the actuating rod is moved along with the handle unit, a guide unit to guide movement of the actuating rod, a pusher configured to be advanced and retreated through movement relative to the actuating rod to push the refrigerator body, and a gear unit disposed between the actuating rod and the pusher such that the gear unit is engaged with the actuating rod and the pusher.

The door opening device includes a first rotating frame and a second rotating frame rotatably hinged to an upper end and a lower end of the door, a handle extended in the longitudinal direction of the door, and provided with one end connected to one end of the first rotating frame and the other end connected to one end of the second rotating frame, and a stopper unit to selectively restrict rotation of at least one of the first rotating frame and the second rotating frame relative to the door.
