A terminal and method of controlling the same are presented. The terminal includes a touchscreen for displaying a list of items and a controller for controlling a scroll of a first list of items in a first direction and a scroll of a second list of items in a second direction, wherein the second list of items is related to an item selected from the first list of items, wherein the second list of items is scrolled in the second direction while the first list of items is displayed.

Terminal and method of controlling the same

A terminal having a touch screen includes a vibrator configured to provide feedback of a vibration of varying amplitude or frequency when a list is scrolled. The vibration varies as the position of a displayed portion of a list is scrolled using a scroll bar. A unique vibration pattern may be generated when the scrolled list reaches one end, or when a file having a unique attribute is highlighted. A portion of a webpage may be displayed, and the portion of the webpage may be adjusted by scrolling the webpage. When a webpage object is scrolled to a particular location on the display, the terminal may generate a vibration indicating the presence of the webpage object. The terminal may also provide vibration feedback when a progress bar of a reproduced multimedia file is manipulated or when a magnification factor of a displayed image is changed.

Terminal and method of control

A mobile terminal includes a touchscreen configured to display a scroll region having a scroll bar at a portion of a displayed view and a controller configured to perform at least one function in response to a touch input received at the scroll region, the touch input including a first touch action in a first axial direction and a second touch action in a second axial direction, wherein a first function is performed in response to the first touch action, the first function being scrolling the displayed view and the first touch action being moving the scroll bar in the first axial direction along the scroll region and a second function is performed in response to the second touch action, the second function being a function that is different from the first function.

A mobile communication terminal and a method of multi-tasking in the terminal are provided. The mobile communication terminal displays a first task display associated with a first application task, receives a request to execute a second application task while the first application task is being performed, and displays a second task display associated with the second application task, wherein the second task display at least partially replaces the first task display, at least a portion of the second task display is identified by an active cursor configured to allow a user to select a function associated with the second application task, and at least one display feature of the active cursor indicates that the first application task is being concurrently performed.
