A display device including a display substrate, the display substrate including an active area including a display unit that displays an image, a circuit area extending from the active area toward an exterior of the display device, and a cell seal area extending from the circuit area toward an exterior of the display device; an encapsulation substrate covering the display substrate; and a sealing portion between the display substrate and the encapsulation substrate, wherein the sealing portion includes a first sealing portion on the cell seal area, and a second sealing portion on the circuit area and extending from the first sealing portion.

Organic light-emitting display apparatus

An organic light-emitting apparatus has a structure capable of reducing defects during the formation of an insulation layer (e.g., a pixel defining layer). The organic light emitting apparatus includes a substrate having a display area and a peripheral area surrounding the display area; a step forming layer on the peripheral area of the substrate; an insulation layer on the substrate across the display area and the peripheral area, wherein the top surface of a portion of the insulation layer corresponding to the step forming layer by covering the step forming layer is higher than the top surface of the remaining portion of the insulation layer; and a first conductive layer on the insulation layer, an end portion of the first conductive layer being close to the portion of the insulation layer corresponding to the step forming layer.

A mother substrate for an organic light-emitting display device includes a base substrate, a plurality of display areas arranged in an array on the base substrate, the array having a plurality of rows and a plurality of columns that are perpendicular to the plurality of rows. The mother substrate further includes a plurality of first dummy patterns formed between the plurality of rows of display areas, and a plurality of second dummy patterns formed between the plurality of columns of display areas. The plurality of first dummy patterns are spaced apart from each other by a plurality of cut portions.

A fringe field switching type liquid crystal display device is disclosed. In one non-limiting example embodiment, the devices includes a plurality of gate wirings and a plurality of data wirings intersecting with each other on a substrate to define a plurality of pixels, wherein a plurality of adjacent pixels form a unit and at least one first transparent electrode having a substantially flat shape and formed in each of the pixels. The device may further include a plurality of second transparent electrodes formed in each of the pixels and located over the first transparent electrode, wherein each of the second transparent electrodes comprises two opposing ends and a coupling part configured to electrically connect the ends of all of the second transparent electrodes associated with the unit.
