An apparatus and method of changing a printer driver, and a printing system and method using the same. The apparatus includes a buffer to store a print command, a driver storing unit to store a plurality of printer drivers corresponding to a designated printer, a driver selecting unit to select a printer driver corresponding to printer identification information from the driver storing unit when the printer identification information is input, and a command processing unit generate data that is used for printing by processing the print command stored in the buffer using the selected printer driver and generating an error signal if an error occurs during processing the print command. The printing system includes a host to select the printer driver corresponding to the designated printer from the plurality of printer drivers for the designated printer and to generate the data for printing if identification information of the printer or a request for a change of the selected printer driver is received, the printer selecting a printer emulator corresponding to the printer driver selected by the host from a plurality of printer emulators, and processing and printing the data generated by the host.

Apparatus and method of changing printer driver, and printing system and method using the same

A system and method to select a print area to be printed from a document, to search the selected print area for blank areas, and to print and/or store the selected print area, having a size of the searched blank areas turned into a predetermined size or other space marker. Thus, the number of printed pages is reduced by printing only parts of documents in which there exists data for printout. Similarly, readability is improved, and comparison of data with other documents is facilitated. Further, a user can easily select certain content titles in a document for printing and/or storage while skipping underlying data content, and so on, so as to increase the user's satisfaction with printout results.

Print system and method to print selected data and content from a document

An image forming device and a controlling method thereof, in which the image forming device includes: a customer replaceable unit memory (CRUM) associated with a recording material storage medium to store a color conversion table group including a color conversion table that corresponds to status information of the image forming device, and a controller to determine current status information of the image forming device, to read a target color conversion table from among the color conversion table group according to the determined current status information, and to apply the target color conversion table to perform a printing operation on a document. Therefore, an optimum print quality can be guaranteed according to the determined current status of the image forming device.
