Disclosed herein is a light source device using light-emitting diodes (LEDs). Specifically, a two-sided, surface light source device is implemented with point light sources such as LEDs in a simple configuration, such that even surface light is emitted. The two-sided, surface light source device includes: a substrate on which light-emitting diodes (LEDs) are disposed as a light source; and a two-sided diffusion unit having a plate-like shape with a front side face, a back side face, and a light-receiving face that is perpendicular to the front side face and the back side face and faces the substrate. Light emitted from the light source is diffused in the diffusion unit and exits through the front side face and the back side face.

Disclosed is an improved light-emitting device for an AC power operation. A conventional light emitting device employs an AC light-emitting diode having arrays of light emitting cells connected in reverse parallel. The arrays in the prior art alternately repeat on/off in response to a phase change of an AC power source, resulting in short light emission time during a &#xbd; cycle and the occurrence of a flicker effect. An AC light-emitting device according to the present invention employs a variety of means by which light emission time is prolonged during a &#xbd; cycle in response to a phase change of an AC power source and a flicker effect can be reduced. For example, the means may be switching blocks respectively connected to nodes between the light emitting cells, switching blocks connected to a plurality of arrays, or a delay phosphor. Further, there is provided an AC light-emitting device, wherein a plurality of arrays having the different numbers of light emitting cells are employed to increase light emission time and to reduce a flicker effect.

A tubular fluid purification apparatus includes a guide part provided with an inlet port into which fluid is drawn, a discharge part provided with an outlet port from which the fluid is discharged, a conduit part configured to provide a space for flow of the fluid between the guide part and the discharge part, and a purification of unit supported on an inner surface of the conduit part and disposed to face the fluid flowing from the guide part to the discharge part. An illumination system includes a power supply unit; and a light emitting apparatus driven by power supplied from the power supply unit. The light emitting apparatus includes: a first light emitting portion and a second light emitting portion configured to be independently driven to emit output light; and a controller configured to control a color temperature or a luminous flux of the output light by controlling operations of the first and second light emitting portions. The controller is configured to control an output color temperature of the output light according to color temperature control data for controlling an output color temperature of the second light emitting portion or control a luminous flux of the output light according to luminous flux control data for controlling an output luminous flux of the first light emitting portion.

The present invention provides a light emitting apparatus comprising: a first light emitting portion for emitting white light with a color temperature of 5700K or more; and a second light emitting portion capable of changing the color temperature of the white light emitted from the first light emitting portion, wherein the first and second light emitting portions are independently driven. Accordingly, the present invention has the advantage that it can be diversely applied to desired atmospheres and uses by implementing white light with various light emitting intensities and color temperatures. Further, there is an advantage in that the cumbersomeness in a process is reduced, the space efficiency is enhanced, and the costs are reduced.
