Augmented reality displays for locating vehicles are disclosed herein. An example method includes determining a current location of a mobile device associated with a user, determining a current location of a vehicle, and generating augmented reality view data that includes a first arrow that identifies a path of travel for the ridehail user towards the vehicle. The path of travel is based on the current location of the mobile device and the current location of the vehicle. The first arrow is combined with a view obtained by a camera of the mobile device or a view obtained by a camera of the vehicle.

A lateral clearance can be identified when a vehicle is parked in the parking space based on identifying a first door of the vehicle to be provided the lateral clearance when the vehicle is parked. A system for a vehicle includes a memory configured to store modeling parameters, generated using an algorithm that assigns relevance scores to features, that specify information indicative of how configuration data including information indicative of use of features of the vehicle classifies which user is currently using the vehicle. The system also includes a processor programmed to monitor the vehicle for the configuration data, identify a most likely user profile using the modeling parameters according to the configuration data, and apply settings of the user profile to the vehicle.

Automated vehicle profile differentiation and learning

Vehicle manufacturers may leverage one vehicle of a household to gain intelligence to determine whether a new vehicle may be purchased or an existing vehicle may be replaced for the household. Techniques include identifying a home geofence space that identifies the household at the household address for the vehicle. The sensor data from the vehicle can be used to identify other vehicles within the home geofence space. When other vehicles are identified that match appropriate criteria, the other vehicles may be associated with the household. Further observation of the other vehicles and the behavior of the members of the household can be used to identify when an existing vehicle of the household may be replaced and/or a new vehicle may be purchased. Upon determining that a new or replacement vehicle may be purchased, marketing materials may be provided to the household to aid the household with purchasing the new vehicle.

Techniques for intelligence using connected vehicle data

A vehicle includes a camera configured to capture an image; and a controller programmed to analyze quality of the image to calculate a lens cleanliness, responsive to detect the lens cleanliness being below a predefined threshold, identify a carwash station within a predefined distance from a navigation route, indicate the carwash station to a vehicle user, and responsive to receiving user input selecting the carwash station, set the carwash station as a navigation destination.

A system includes a processor configured to store a buffer of accelerable broadcast content. The processor is also configured to determine that a predefined condition exists, defining a situation where content acceleration is appropriate. The processor is further configured to determine a broadcast content playback point where content should be accelerated and playback a predetermined portion of the buffer at a predefined accelerated pace, responsive to reaching the playback point.
