A display device includes a display panel, a metal plate disposed on a bottom surface of the display panel and configured to support the display panel, a filling member disposed on the bottom surface of the display panel, the filling member being disposed on the same level as the metal plate relative to the bottom surface of the display panel, and a material of the metal plate being different from a material of the filling member, a fingerprint sensor disposed on a bottom surface of the filling member, and a member-sensor bonding member disposed between the fingerprint sensor and the filling member to bond the fingerprint sensor to the filling member. A hardness of the filling member is greater than a hardness of the member-sensor bonding member.

A display device includes a display panel; a metal plate and a filling member which are disposed on a lower surface of the display panel, are disposed on the same layer, and include different materials; and a fingerprint sensor which is disposed on a lower surface of the filling member and is overlapped by the filling member in a thickness direction, wherein the metal plate includes a plurality of outlines extending in different directions in plan view, one outline of the metal plate includes a plurality of sides extending along a first direction and a discontinuous part disposed between the sides, an open part recessed from the discontinuous part in a second direction intersecting the first direction is formed in the metal plate, and the filling member is located in the open part in plan view.

Display device including a fingerprint sensor and a method of driving the same

The present disclosure provides a display device with fingerprint sensor in a manner capable of strengthening a display device integrating the fingerprint sensor. The display device includes a display panel including a display area, a cover panel, a fingerprint sensor, and a reinforcing member. The cover panel is disposed on a rear surface of the display panel and includes an opening. The fingerprint sensor is disposed on the rear surface of the display panel in the opening of the cover panel and includes a sensor layer. The reinforcing member is disposed on a rear surface of the fingerprint sensor. The reinforcing member includes a sidewall surrounding at least one area of the sensor layer while being in contact with the rear surface of the fingerprint sensor, and a bottom surface which extends from the sidewall and is spaced apart from the sensor layer.

A display device includes: a display panel including a display area; a fingerprint sensor disposed under the display panel overlapping the display area, the fingerprint sensor including: an optical lens; a lens frame disposed under the optical lens; an image sensor disposed under the lens frame and exposed toward the optical lens through an opening formed in the lens frame; and an adhesive layer disposed between the lens frame and the display panel and surrounding the optical lens in a plan view, and attaching the lens frame and the display panel to each other; and a lens guide disposed between the adhesive layer and the optical lens in the plan view, and configured to maintain a distance between a lower surface of the display panel and an upper surface of the optical lens, the lens guide protruding from an upper surface of the lens frame toward the display panel.
