Provided is a high-voltage battery with an integrated connector. The high-voltage battery includes cells, support members, a housing, the integrated connector and a BMS. A lower connection member is provided on one side of each support member and has protrusions made of electrical conductors. The protrusions come into contact with corresponding electrodes of the cells. A cell assembly formed by the arrangement of the cells and the supports is inserted into the housing. The integrated connector is connected to the lower connection members of the support members so as to mechanically and electrically connect the cells to each other.

The system includes sub BMSs connected to each of the sub-packs a main BMS connected to each of the sub BMSs to collect the SOCs calculated in each of the sub BMSs and to transmit a final SOC to a vehicle SOC to a vehicle controller. When an average SOC to each SOC of the sub-packs is less than 50%, the main BMS determines a minimum value among the SOCs of the sub-packs as a final SOC, and when the average SOC to each SOC of the sub-packs is 50% or more, the main BMS determines a maximum value among the SOCs of the sub-packs as a final SOC.

An automatic charge equalization apparatus using a regulated voltage source according to the present invention comprises a battery module having a plurality of batteries connected in series; a battery string having M (natural number of M&#x2267;2) battery modules connected in series: a regulated voltage source which is provided for each battery module and outputs and maintains an average voltage of the battery string; a bidirectional switch block which is provided for each battery module between the battery module and the regulated voltage source to connect each battery to an output of the regulated voltage source by forming a parallel current moving path to each battery composing the battery module; and a microprocessor controlling the bidirectional switch block, wherein each battery composing the battery module shares the regulated voltage source by the bidirectional switch block and the microprocessor controls the bidirectional switch block to successively connect the batteries composing the battery module with the regulated voltage source.

The present invention relates to a cell balancing method for a high-voltage battery pack, and the method comprises steps of a) measuring an electromotive force of each cell composing the battery pack; b) selecting the cell to be balanced based on the electromotive force of the each cell; c) computing a total amount of charges used for balancing of the cell to be balanced; d) obtaining an accumulative amount of charges by accumulating an amount of current consumed for the balancing while performing the balancing of the cell to be balanced; and e) completing the balancing of the cell to be balanced when the accumulative amount of charges equals the total amount of charges.

This invention is related to a method and an apparatus for choosing SOCi (State Of Charge based on current) or SOCv (State Of Charge based on voltage) as the SOC (State Of Charge) of a battery depending on a condition in a battery management system by using an equivalent circuit model. In this invention, a method for measuring SOC of a battery in a battery management system is characterized by comprising the steps of: obtaining voltage data and temperature by measuring the current, voltage and temperature of a battery; calculating SOCi by accumulating the current data; calculating open circuit voltage by using an equivalent circuit model which simply presents the current data, the voltage data and the battery through an electric circuit; calculating SOCv by using the temperature data and the open circuit voltage; and choosing at least one of the SOCi and the SOCv as SOC of the battery by using the SOCi and the SOCv based on the judgment on the current state of a vehicle for a certain time interval.
