Provided is a method for provisioning an application container volume (storage) in a cloud platform. The method takes provision requests and desired allocation capacity from users and provisions storage for an application container differently based on a determination of whether a cloud platform system generates a volume statically or dynamically, and based on a determination of whether the available space of storage space is sufficient or not to cover the desired allocation capacity. The method also notifies users about insufficient storage space to cover desired allocation capacity, and allows users to adjust desired allocation capacity to allow the provisioning proceed.

The central controller adjusts a transmission time of the control command signal received from the remote control device and transmits the control command signal to a corresponding air conditioner according to a result of the adjustment so that signal collision can be avoided. As the multi-type air conditioners installed within a building can be centrally controlled and efficiently managed, and control command signals from control devices coupled to the central controller over an internal/external network are transmitted to corresponding air conditioners, a control operation can be reliably performed.

A central control system controls peak power of multiple air conditioners that includes indoor units installed in rooms of a building and an outdoor unit for controlling refrigerant circulation. A central controller is connected to the multiple air conditioners via a network to perform central control or monitoring of operations of the air conditioners. The central controller performs peak power control if current power consumption of the air conditioners, calculated based on operating states thereof, exceeds a previously input reference management power value. A telephone control module is contained in each of the home appliances to detect ringing signals received over a telephone line. If the number of the detected ringing signals is equal to a predetermined reference value, each home appliance automatically enters an off-hook state to make a call connection with the remote telephone. Even though a plurality of telephone jacks are commonly connected to the telephone line and the home appliances are in turn connected to respective telephone jacks, the user can access the respective home appliances from a remote site to simultaneously/individually control them. Therefore, the plurality of home appliances can be remotely controlled over the telephone line in a simple manner.

An air conditioner control system and method that uses a telephone network is provided. A remote electronic device is connected to a plurality of air conditioners through the telephone network to input a control command to each of the air conditioners. A control program is run in the remote electronic device to register profile information for the air conditioners. The air conditioners are configured to transmit and receive signals over there telephone network. The remote electronic device is configured to input control commands to some or all of the air conditioners on the basis of the registered profile information. A control command input by a remote user is automatically transmitted to a corresponding one of the air conditioners with reference to the registered profile information of the corresponding air conditioner.

Air conditioner control system using a telephone network and method for operating the same

An air conditioner control system and method uses a PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network). The system allows a remote control operator to control a plurality of air conditioners through the PSTN by providing receiving modules connected to the air conditioners which have unique IDs assigned thereto and which all use same telephone line. In an electronic device, a control program is driven to control and monitor the air conditioners. A transmitting module connected to the electronic device converts and codes a control command signal into a DTMF (Dual Tone Multi-Frequency) signal, and transmits the DTMF signal through the PSTN to a receiving module connected to a corresponding air conditioner, so that the air conditioner can be remotely controlled.
