A system for filling an LPG vehicle with LPG using an auxiliary bombe is provided. The system may be configured for easily filling a main bombe with LPG even in the hot season (summertime) or the like during which the outside temperature rapidly rises, by using an auxiliary bombe in addition to using the main bombe. The system may also be capable of always smoothly refilling the main bombe with LPG by moving a portion of the LPG in the main bombe to the auxiliary bombe, when the pressure in the main bombe is higher than the LPG filling pressure of a filling gun in the hot season during which the outside temperature rapidly rises, so that the pressure in the main bombe becomes lower than the filling pressure.

An apparatus for filling a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) vehicle with LPG may include an auxiliary chamber disposed in an LPG bombe of the LPG vehicle, an auxiliary injection line branched from a fuelling line extending to the LPG bombe from a fuel inlet port for connection to the auxiliary chamber, a solenoid valve mounted in the auxiliary injection line to selectively allow or block a flow of LPG to the auxiliary chamber, a temperature sensor to detect a temperature in the bombe, and a controller to control the solenoid valve to be opened when the temperature detected by the temperature sensor is equal to or higher than a critical temperature.

Apparatus and method for filling LPG vehicle with LPG

A fuel filling apparatus and method for a bi-fuel vehicle using both gasoline and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) as fuel are provided to an LPG fuel tank. The fuel filling apparatus and method are capable of temporarily burning a portion of LPG fuel after collecting a fuel portion, using a gasoline fuel tank and a canister, when the internal pressure of the LPG fuel tank in the bi-fuel vehicle is equal to or greater than an LPG filling pressure of a filling gun. Additionally, the internal pressure of the LPG fuel tank is decreased to a level below the LPG filling pressure of the filling gun, thereby achieving smoother LPG fuel filling of the LPG fuel tank by the filling gun.

Fuel filling apparatus and method for bi-fuel vehicle

A canister valve device for a vehicle that is equipped with a shutoff valve device connected to a pipe providing a passage for air to flow to a canister and selectively opening and closing the passage of the pipe, may include a diverging channel diverging from the passage of the pipe to a position where the shutoff valve device is positioned to provide a passage for a portion of air flowing to the pipe; and a check valve device positioned in the diverging channel, closing when the shutoff valve device closes, and opening when the shutoff valve device opens so that air is distributed to the pipe and the diverging channel, whereby negative pressure applied to the shutoff valve device is configured to be reduced by flow of the air.

Fuel system for bi-fuel vehicle and method of filling bi-fuel vehicle with LPG fuel using the same

An apparatus and a method for charging an LPG fuel vehicle are provided to charge a LPG tank with LPG fuel by decreasing part of pressure in the LPG tank when pressure in the LPG tank, which stores the LPG fuel, is greater than charging pressure. That is, pressure in the LPG tank is decreased to be equal to or lower than charging pressure of a charger and the LPG tank with LPG fuel is charged more smoothly from the charger, by capturing part of the LPG fuel in the LPG tank and allowing the LPG fuel to be combusted in the engine when pressure in the LPG tank of the vehicle is greater than LPG charging pressure of the charger.

A fuel filter for a vehicle may include an upper case with a fuel inlet at a first side; a main filter disposed in the upper case to filter fuel flowing between an inner surface of the upper case and an external diameter of the main filter; a lower case provided in a structure having a fuel outlet and joined with a second side of the upper case; a first auxiliary filter assembly installed between the upper case and the main filter to secondarily filter the fuel; and a second auxiliary filter assembly installed between the main filter and the lower case to secondarily filter the fuel.

A fuel tank assembly includes a baffle plate mounted under the upper part of the fuel tank to form a predetermined distance between the baffle plate and the fuel tank bottom. The fuel tank assembly includes a fuel tank, a baffle plate having an upper plate in which a penetration hole is formed and a side wall integrally formed at an edge of the upper plate. A bracket mounts the fuel tank and the baffle plate, wherein, the upper plate and the side wall of the baffle plate are mounted to the fuel tank and have a predetermined distance therebetween.
